I've heard this before about the Barakkat version of the edp not being very good. It's weird because, as you say, the others in their MFK range are brilliant. I've got the br540 extrait, Oud Satin Mood, Grand Soir and Gentle Fluidity Gold clones and they're all amazing. The Gentle Fluidity didn't really smell too strong at first but I think it's just that it's not a particularly strong perfume anyway. The rest are extremely strong, especially the Oud Satin Mood. I've got a back up bottle of that one. For the br540 edp I went with the Yodeyma version, it's called Boreal, because I've used them for years for clones of other fragrances. Fragrance World are usually spot on, I've just ordered their Lost Cherry, Bitter Peach and Delina clones so I can't wait to try them. Then I'm stopping for a bit coz I've bought way too much perfume lately. I just panic bought the Tom Ford clones coz I know they're being discontinued, at least in their current form anyway.

Thanks for sharing your experience, yes it is strange that the majority of their range is spot on with awesome performance and a very reasonable price tag but seriously their BR540 reduces me to tears 😭…I have most of the other ones that you mentioned and they are all crazy good…really appreciate your helpful input and looking forward to seeing you on the next review…stay safe and keep spraying….JL

Great and honest review because I bought the fragrance world satin Oud after watching your review and it was really spot one good. A great clone. In fact, it’s an amazing experience. Check out Al haramain Amber Oud Rouge Ruby edition. A clone of the MFK 540 extrait . It’s super nice. Love it!

Thanks for your comments… yes satin oud is awesome and performance is longtime…but the rouge 540 is sadly not of the same beauty 😳…as for the al haramain yes you are right that is BR 540 PE done correctly…stay safe and healthy..and keep that spray spraying…regards from JL

Guess I was lucky I avoided this and opted for the Barakkat Rouge 540 extrait instead as it had higher sales than the EDP. It's good for its asking price.

You are so positive in general about fragrances. This must be really bad! I’ve never tried the actual br, but I do have Zara’s Red Temptation. Have you tried it?

@@JONLEGG I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first, but I think it was the profile of the fragrance I had to get used to. I really enjoy it for layering! If you like the profile, it could be worth it. I see they have small bottles now if you prefer that. 😊

Honestly, I have had this fragrance for 18 months now…and I return to it frequently…over time it has got better…but still the opening (and for about 30-40 minutes) is on my skin a strange chemical…after about 40 minutes it is acceptable but I still struggle with it….

You say "Barakkat Oud mood" is amazing, do you actually mean "Oud SATIN"?? I haven't found Barakkat with "Oud mood"????

Apologies my friend, I meant to say barakkat satin oud….by fragrance world (which is a copy of MFK oud satin mood!!! You can probably see how the confusion came from!!! 😁 I hope it makes sense…best wishes from JL
