What makes you think the ancient Baganda did not adorn their heads? May be they did but used different materials that are no longer available. Secondly I am going to let you know the head dress is not only beautiful it enhances the dance. Bakisimba is a cultural dance and like all cultural practices it's dynamic and progressive. By the way the ancients did not wear the ruffia skirt this was copied from the Banyoro the original wrap around was banana leaves but you must agree it's good they copied the Banyoro because the ruffia(Nsasa) because it enhances the dance better than banana leaves. I will leave you with the words of the late Reverend Polycarp Kakooza, " Culture is not static, it's dynamic and progressive".

Baganda is plural. No need for the 's'. Otherwise, thank you for sharing.
