@SREEKANTH k true . I only said “reduce” bargaining not stop it entirely ☺️. Same jutis are sold in lulu for 1400 and they add a sale tag and sell for 999- don’t we happily buy it ? We should start trusting street vendors slightly more. What Priya’s daddy told is absolutely true- “workmanship nokkanam”

Once when I was in mumbai a guy sold me a necklace for 850₹, it was not even a street side shop this guy was just holding the accessories in his hands.I was too naive back then didn't bargain bought it for the price coz it was very pretty wore it the next day and ended up with red rashes all over my neck. I had a hard time there after to get rid of the allergy. I stopped doing any street shopping ever since no matter what the deal. Whenever I buy something I make sure its from a brand or have a name tag I have heard of. So I don't really think the generalisation that all of them are poor vendors are applicable, some of them are really clever enough to fool us coz most of the time they know what they are selling. If we really want to help vendors I think buying groceries is the best idea. They sell fresh produce.

I have had quality issues with branded products . I just pointed out the mindset of people ..being ready to pay whatsoever money to a mall..and fighting with old and homeless people in the name of bargaining and paying them as less as possible...
