Perfect, so simple. Purchased two UV82 for a trip and haven't figured out how to manually specify a frequency (the manual isn't clear about this), the video helped me so much. :)

UV-82 is great radio. Programming is simple, no cable needed, that's why i like it.

I see the same explanation in many places, but it doesn’t matter if I hold down the menu button while I turn on the unit or not, it always comes on in frequency mode 🤷‍♀️

Can you use the Baofeng UV-82 with the Baofeng 888S?

Yes, just program 888s on same frequency as uv82.
