that’s cause it’s not a dumpling lolol Dumplings have a thin wrapper and they’re boiled or cooked in oil Bao takes more time and they’re a lot more convenient and substantial than a dumpling

Asian cooking mostly comes from experience, I believe most of western cooking is also like this. Do things according to what you think it’s best for you, and make adjustments based on that. I think that instead of asking for everything detailed, we should try and make our own recipe!

This recipe calls for far more ingredients for the filling than what my parents use whenever they make baozi. I'm sure it still tastes delicious, though, and there's certainly more than one right way to make this Chinese staple.
