For the ARMYs looking for the story behind this performance and Why other AMRYS in the comment section are so sad : here they were invited to perform at the 2016 busan one Asia festival at the last slot but joonie got injured and the organisers of the show cancelled BTS’s performance WITHOUT telling them or BigHit . But when the show was over and bangtan didn’t show up on stage ARMY refused to leave and BTS had to literally beg to let them perform not caring about the coverage or that the show has ended because “our fans are waiting, they will be disappointed” so the organisers had to send BTS to perform ... and even thought they performed... it was not aired on TV only other artists performance was aired. They also didn’t clean the stage for BTS (not cleaning the stage before the performance can be very risky and lead to injury if there is water or slippery stuff or even confetti) and no proper lighting was provided for them (as you can see) BTS SOLEMNLY PERFORMED FOR ARMY. in the video you can literally feel the ANGER from ARMY who are shouting on top of their lungs to support the boys. Also I just wanna add ... OG ARMYs !!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART 💜

They went to billboard, Grammy, AMA after that year. They went to speak in United Nations, and later in the White House. They performed on American, British tv shows, sold out world tours, and broke countless of records. They are loved by many. Never in KPOP history has anyone done what they’ve done and accomplished. They performed for ARMY without Lights, camera, broadcast but still ARMYS camera were there! BTS STAN ARMY AND ARMY STAN BTS!! 💜

It was a hard day for BTS without Namjoon, floor team didn’t clean the confetti even if they know it’s dangerous because people can slide esp when dancing but if you know BTS they don’t see a mountain so high they can’t climb! The stage was shaking, confetti flying all over and army screamed their heads. BTS and ARMY shutdown the show. As always😉

watching this right after mma 2020, bts swept 7 awards. i feel proud of them so much and those who did this kind of things to them i hope they are regretting like hell

It's because of the hard, that for the most part we know nothing of, they are the way they are. Humble and kind, because they have never forgotten the hard to be where they are today. And there will never be another BTS, no matter what k-pop bands come after, they are their own special something. Not one band can come close. They can try to copy. Everyone is so lucky to have these boys in our lives. For them to be the way they are, no matter how big they will get. Always treat them with kindness and love.

For what I know they cancelled their performance a hour before BTS' performance, where our Bangtan already there and they were ready to perform. It was due to Namjoon who wasn't attend because he was injured at that time. I hope this explanation is help you🙏

​@@veronikaworait Just to explain a little more: the excuse the festival gave was Namjoon's injury, but it's clear BTS didn't want to cancel and were surprised to find out they'd been cut at the last minute. They've often performed with one member missing due to injury, and of course we can see here they were fully prepared to go on stage. The injury was just an excuse the show used when ARMY asked for an explanation of why they'd been cut.

You can feel the rage of ARMYs just by simply hearing the chants. It hurts a lot but I'm still happy and proud because this really proved how BTS and ARMYs get along well with each other.

i´ve only been a fan for a short time, but man... i´ve got a newfound respect for both BTS and ARMY. the music/entertainment industry is one hell of a shithole on a good day.... but their treatment of these boys back then was something awful, army was rightfully upset. but if one thing is true, it is that for BTS, army is priority number one. they will always love and respect their fans and that is something not many artists get nowadays. i am very very proud of how far these men have come, they deserve all the good things this world can offer. thank you veteran armys for supporting these boys through all the hardships

When i see people react to kpop for the first time they always say “kpop bts” like it’s one word..... i mean i guess it’s fine since they’re new to the idea but at least do some research🥲

People will never understand our love for these boys because they don't know Bangtan'a struggles. They don't know how these boys performed passionately for their fans despite being cut-off the broadcast. Not me seeing the performance to wake up and energize me to continue reading for Tamil Sem Exam 😂

Man... the way they started the music even when they weren't ready yet for their starting position is already heartbreaking... look at Jin and Yoongi rushing... 😭 and the way the confetti scattered around the floor... I was so afraid they'd fall because of them... the lighting was literally just one switch away from being turned off (that little little little difference at the end is the evidence)... and the people walking away... 😭 my heart hurt so much 😭 and we can also see bangtan holding so much anger 😭 i can imagine the staff saying their performance is cancelled and bangtan begged to perform even at the end of the show, even with minimum lighting, even with the floor full of confetti, even without camera and saying "but our fans are waiting!!!" man it hurts 😭😭😭😭😭

@@samiramayers3695 So BTS were suppose to preform but RM got injured. So the show cancelled their performance without telling BTS and BigHit, which is why the stage isn’t clean and why they were taking away all the equipment. BTS weren’t gonna preform but armys refused to leave until they got a performance from BTS. So BTS basically sit through everyone’s performance waiting for their turn, but once the show was over, that’s when the staff decided to tell them weren’t performing. They performed without proper lighting and confetti on the floor just for armys. If u have any other questions, I’ll be happy to answer them with the knowledge I have on this. They also didn’t put the performance on TV, so it was kind of like a mini concert for armys and the people from other fandoms who stayed.

I always get chills when I hear the fans shouting RM's lines in Dope. You can hear the anger in their voices, BTS treat their fans with respect. They didn't preform for the cameras or a pay check they did it for their fans. They brought 110% to make sure the fans got the preformance they deserved. Pure respect and admiration for BTS.

I saw other grp fans saying that award shows are rigged n biased on twitter, insta. They were blaming BTS n army for dominating the show n for their favs not winning anything. They need to see this video..they were treated soo badly yet they performed for few army's who were there n gave their 100%..thats dedication n commitment. No wonder why they came soo far n achieved everything.

@@lisalalisa182 bts were set to perform last after PSY, but the broadcast ended right after PSY was done performing. The stage lights were turned off, some artists had gone home since it was "over" and the camera crew had turned off their cameras but acted like they were, to make the audience think they were actually recording when they werent while other staff watched BTS perform with pity. BTS were told they were cut off broadcast right before they were set to perform, but still remained professional, performed strongly for their fans and acted like nothing was wrong. On top of this they werent given a waiting room. Some armys that were on their phones saw the broadcast had ended and word spread around, but most had no idea. The broadcast wanted Armys worldwide watching till the end for views, only to take advantage of them and BTS' attendance. Since JK and Jimin are from Busan, the event became so talked about, it sold out completely and most of the audience were Armys. RM, the leader, couldnt attend bc of his injury, so Armys were sad bc imagine him watching the show from the hospital only to see his group completely cut off. It was a sad day for everyone but a favorite performance of Armys bc its special, and ever since then BTS haven't attended this event.

BTS still turned it into their concert regardless.

All BTS members are very angelic, not only to ARMY but to everyone. I've never found a group as good as them. There is no grudge in their hearts, only forgiveness. That's why ARMY cares and loves them so much.

It’s seriously heartbreaking to watch this video. I can’t believe they didn’t notify BigHit that their show was cancelled because Namjoon was injured, so they invited the boys but didn’t let them perform. No clean stage, no cameras, and no proper lighting. But the energy BTS is giving here is like any other performance, and the Army’s that stayed there and waited for them the whole day have all my respect. They showed them the love that our boys deserve. And like another comment I saw, I will never stop saying “and look at where they are now 😌”. They’ve overcome so many challenges and broke many barriers, I’m seriously so proud 🥲.

Coming back after they literally gave a free concert to ARMY'S in this very same city,which 45 million people (even more from unofficial streams) saw online, shows how far they've come. A tight slap to the administrators and a proud moment for me. They'll always be an inspiration for me.

for those who are confused so in 2016 $b$ make this event and include bts into line up, and of course many Armys come to this event bcs bts was there. BUT SUDDENLY bts was excluded from the line up in the middle of the festival without any clear reason. when the event has done, bts giving some performance to the armys bcs they don't wanna dissapointed us. that's why you see so many confetti right there. and there only 6 member there, joon didnt perform he probably not feeling well that time and that is why this performance has no official clip from $b$, bts perform when the event is totally done. the cameras not working anymore. and you know what? bts could be mad and didnt give a f to $b$, but they did not. they still be kind to $b$.

That this was 9 days before they dropped the masterpiece that is Blood, Sweat, Tears and WINGS is insane to me. I'd been a fan since Dope, and the fact that they were treated like this (even after Fire!) in incomprehensible. But BST is what I consider to be the biggest turning point for them. I'm sure the event organizers were kicking themselves for this decision only two weeks later.

Same i was a fan since dope too, the industry and some of the other fandoms were desperately trying so hard to drag Bts to the bottom during 2016 and that's why 2017 was the turning point for the rising popularity internationally for Bangtan and for us, i will never forget how army's worked so hard for the votes and such during that year and look at us now, both Army's and Bts are nowadays chilling basically lol as the fandom is the biggest now, i'm glad all of us fought so much for the deserved recognition, honestly Bts and Army's never whined for the mistreatment or the failures, we worked hard together rather than complaining and reached top

Those staff who organized that event was so disrespectful for bangtan....

And then they became the biggest group in the world. Much respect to the ARMYs who cheered so loud for the Tannies on this day. Music industry has always tried to hold them back but BTS always came out on top and they never compromised their integrity.

Moments that ARMY and BTS will never forget.... For the sake of their fans, they got rid of the embarrassment as well as the ego... Now they are successful, they are very proud to be an ARMY

When I saw a picture of this concert I thought they were just practising because their clothes and the confetti now when I see this video I understand how much they love us

Actually those were the fits during save me era. During that era they had casual outfits. This was video was a few days before BST era so that's why their hair colours are different

Jungkook was mistreated at flower crew that year as well.. and when they got their first daesang Artist of the year, other fandom can't accept.. 2016 was a bitter-sweet memory for BTS and armys.. it's hard to watch these kind of videos knowing the sad backstory but all the hardships are paid off.. I will always be proud being an army.. 💜

And now bts has all star member...V the most handsome man in the world...RM the great leader...JUNGKOOK the global pop icon JIMIN the classy guy..JHOPE the global choreographer...JIN WWHANDSOME GUY..SUGA the award winner producer they have it all so its hard to get next bts...their raw talent is what seperated them from other idols

Before, they literally cut off BTS on their show. Now they even put 30+ minutes screen time for them because they attract more viewers. Back then big hit was always at the bottom of the waiting list of every shows and PDs refused to have BTS in their shows and even mistreat them giving little to no screen time at all. Now look whose putting a lot of bodyguards in their building when BTS is coming to their station and even broadcast the whole event just to let people knew they are treating BTS right. 😂💕 "The irony of success is that you see people who look down on you before are now bowing to pay respect." They performed even though the show already ended because they know it will be very disappointing for armys who came their and didn't even see their performance. P.S I saw some VIP light stick!! I'm so proud with my co-VIP y'all so supportive and lovable. 💛💛

Idk about any of the other fandoms😅 but

No fancy clothes, no major make ups and anything. But still delivers a performance much more than everyone

they cut them out and they came out just for us and performed without lights or anything now they can't go anywhere without the lights shining brightly on them. karma is beautiful.

Im a new fan. This maybe painful but I believe that this moment made BTS and ARMY what they are today...

I became an ARMY during this pandemic so I am relatively new but believe me when I say that I haven't felt a connection like this with any artist ever. The time since I have found BTS is one of the happiest I have ever been. I am sitting here at 4 in the morning crying at how unfairly BTS were treated and how far they have come despite that! I am so so proud to be a part of this family and I love y'all so much. 💜💜💜 I also really want to thank the ARMYs who were there that day and refused to leave without watching BTS perform. I might not have been with y'all then but I am here now and I am never leaving. Also I can't believe how pathetic and petty people have to be to disrespect artists like this and drop freaking water on the stage while they are performing. Everything about this makes me so mad.

the fact that in 2022 they are on top of the world but STILL looked down upon. I will forever and always be proud of BTS. They have accomplished something every artist dreams of accomplishing. I just learned about the story behind this performance today... The disrespect makes me so mad seriously. Thank you ARMY for fighting against the injustice, and thank you BTS for performing for ARMY that day, even though the show did you so dirty. Being an ARMY is one of the only reasons I get up everyday nowadays 💜

@@tantanta___9 I think that they didnt get any screen time and they were the very last performance. Everyone was done already and some of the staff already left. They thought it was okay to brush them off because they were a small group from a small company. My wording is not very good so I hope someone else comments and explains it better than me 😅😅 Edit: based on my observations from what other ARMYs said, bts’ performance was cut off and they were told to get off the stage

@@tantanta___9 They were supposed to be the last performer of the event but namjoon had an injury and the show decided just to cut them out and put a solo artist for the ending performance Some of the lights are already off some crews are already packing up, ARMY went nuts so they let BTS perform, no back up, no fancy clothes confettis everywhere and this was never Broadcasted only in fancams cuz cameras we're already shut off, in short they treated BTS like sh!t. But BTS perform for ARMY not for the show. This happened in busan.

And all of them disrespected them especially MAMA, when bts was still small, they let bts perform on the RED CARPET and not STAGE. Also MAMA, 2013, BTS wasn't invited just because their company was small. Should I tell every year story?

I'm really thankful to the ARMYs from that time. I'm 2017 ARMY and this was just before I joined the fandom. I feel sorry that I couldn't be with my men in their darkest nights. But now BTS is rest of my life.

And Today I'm Back here 'CAUSE BTS ARE BRAND AMBASSADOR OF BUSAN WORLD EXPO 2030 .... THAT'S WHAT THEY HAVE ACHIEVED 💜💜💜💜

We clearly see the passion in their eyes while performing they know that there is no camera who record their mistakes but still they perform like there is no tomorrow AND prove haters that if army here to see bts then bts will perform for them no one can stop them

Y'all have no idea what it was like seeing all of this go down live as it was happening. My friend was attending uni in SK and went to the festival and sent me videos while they were performing and you could hear her and her friends asking why it was over and where were the boys and then when they came on everyone went nuts. I'll never forget it. On army twt we were so heartbroken for the boys and so angry at the way they were treated. Ppl were mad on the livestreams and everywhere tbh. That's why as older Armys we always say it's important to know the history of the tannies and our fandom. Because when you know all the things we've been through together only then can you understand the bond between us and the absolute love and protection we feel for the boys.

For the staff that organize this: The boys you turn your lights off and almost didn't let perform on your stage that night back then are now the HONORABLE AMBASSADORS of the WORLD EXPO 2030 BUSAN KOREA .... How about that huh?!

well, as a matter of fact: i've never seen anyone else's perfomance on this festival but i am rewatching this bts video even 8 years later. And it has million of views. The cameras were out and the stage was covered in confetti, but this couldn't hinder this performance to reach the audience regardless of anything. Their light is so strong it overcomes even the seemingly impossible

Watching this now that BTS just freshly became a 5x Grammy Nominee. The universe truly rewards people with good hearts. Congratulations to both BTS and Armys. You deserve all the love and so much more. 💜🫰🏻
