Andre, tell prop shop rpm new engine can work at. They match new prop to engine for best efficiency. There is much more to choosing a prop than most understand.

The GX390 motors are great engines. Just have to keep on top of the oil changes. You can't let them go too long between or you'll wear the engine out prematurely. And there should be some easy to find exhaust pipes and muffles for those engines. Amazon and eBay. Or many go-kart and mini-bike websites. Happy belated B-Day to you and I'm so happy to see the boat up and running and finally able to bring in revenue for you guys. Good luck with all of that!

bad side of gas engine versus the old oil burner engine, is gas is more flammable. so refueling the tank and handling of the gas fuel more care must be taken.for safety. I prefer diesel over gas, but they are harder to start, and more expensive to repair and replace. but when the Hondas crap out, just replace them. the diesel engines will last much longer before rebuild time. good luck, hope changing the prop pitch will work with the Honda motor

Andre, I think you should also know the engine is very heavy and will easily poke through a cardboard box so you should have put down a wooden board to set the engine on so you don’t damage your floor! Brothers are not only ones to blame for this accident!

blame for this Accident ? I dont know what you mean... And our engines are fixed on a wooden board, thats the usual way to install them, because the vibration of the running engines would break the body of the boat with time.

With the motor confined with the fuel tank still on the motor you’re taking a risk of explosion. You really need blowers to pull the fumes out that space. If me I would disconnect the fuel tank from the motor and mount it somewhere outside of that space and just run a fuel line down to the engine.

This, getting out vapors is very important. Gasoline is much more explosive and dangerous than diesel fuel. Also liter for liter, gasoline has less energy than diesel. So it will take 20 % more fuel to do the same work. Of course, running tests and keeping good records is the best proof. Their are inexpensive 12v blowers to help keep fumes out of the bilge, they should be able to run off the Honda, but you will also require a small battery. Also Coast Guard will have ventilation requirement different for a gas engine.

Ihr tauscht den Diesel gegen einen Benziner? Euer Motor hat knappe 12 PS (11,7PS), reicht das wirklich? Du kannst an die andere Seite einen Anlasser anflanschen, so wird es bei manchen Mopedautos (Aixam, Canta, Legier) gemacht. Nur die haben oft den 160 ccm Motor drin. Passt eure Antriebswelle noch? Kann man denn Motor auf elastische Motorlager setzen, im Notfall Altreifenstücke? Ich musste mich für einen Freund schon lange damit beschäftigen. Ich denke, man merkt's .... Good luck!!!!!!!
