The Hubli - Anmod Ghat Route : One of the most picturesque trails from Bangalore, the Hubli-Anmod Ghat route is your best bet if your destination is North Goa. Magnificent views of the Western Ghats and excellent road conditions will enhance your road trip experience.
There are four different trails that you can follow when you take a road trip to Goa from Bangalore. The best part is that each of the routes has a charm of its own. You can explore several natural and man-made attractions on the way, without having to deviate too much from your course. You can even take two different routes for your onward and return journey and make the most of your road trip. So, here’s an outline of that popular route which we took.
One of the most picturesque trails from Bangalore, the Hubli-Anmod Ghat route is your best bet if your destination is North Goa. Magnificent views of the Western Ghats and excellent road conditions will enhance your road trip experience. You can check out quite a few places en route, which makes this trail a fascinating option for everyone, especially history lovers. There is also a waterfall and a deer sanctuary you can explore on the way, so if you are traveling with your family and kids, you know which route to take. The best part is that this is among the relatively shorter routes for a trip to Goa from Bangalore.
Route: Starting from Bangalore, you will pass through Tumkur, Chitradurga, Hubli, Dharwad, Ramnagar, Anmod, and finally reach Panaji.
The Route We Followed - goo.gl/maps/JAtngAd1LaeBo7Ct8
Distance: 600 km (approx.)
Travel Time: 9 hours (approx.) without any detours
Popular Stopovers:
Chitradurga Fort: Nestled amidst a flat valley, the historic Chitradurga Fort boasts of seven concentric fortification walls. Also known as the Seven Circles Fort or Stone Fortress, the fort precincts offer panoramic views of the valleys.
Ranebennur Blackbuck Deer Sanctuary: If you are a wildlife enthusiast, a detour of a few kilometers will lead you to Ranebennur that houses the protected blackbucks as well as the highly endangered great Indian bustards.
Sira and Haveri: Are you a history buff? Then, a drive through the historically relevant and quaint towns of Haveri and Sira will leave you thrilled.
Anmod Ghats: One of the prime attractions of this route is the splendid Anmod Ghats that boasts of some of the stunning waterfalls near Bangalore and offers excellent opportunities for shutterbugs to capture spectacular shots.
Dudhsagar Falls: When it comes to scenic beauty, the Dudhsagar Falls definitely takes the cake. It is a four-tiered waterfall that rushes down against a green background of the Western Ghats and offers a sight to behold and cherish.
Suggested Stops for Breakfast and Lunch
You can stop at Kottureshwara in Davanagere to enjoy a satisfying breakfast of hot and yummy Benne Dosa. You can also stop at Kamat Upachar or Café Coffee Day at Sira and tuck in their delicious breakfast spreads along with steaming cups of coffee. For lunch, you can make a stop at Mollem at either the Mollem Karibu Garden Restaurant or the Roshan Restaurant, both of which are popular places, known for their food and service. While options for meals are aplenty en route, it’s best if you carry your own food for the road considering the current situation.

Hello Akshat Dubey, Hope you doing good!!! They are asking for Rt-pcr negative report incase you don't have double dose vaccination certificate while entering goa, and Your Rtpcr negative Report stay valid till 72 hours, if your are coming back in same duration then No need to get another RTPcr negative report while entering Karnataka. If that timeline is passed you need to get another test done!

Hello Mohit Verma, Hope you and your family are doing good ! Road conditions are excellent overall ! except some 5-10 kms stretch, These roads are excellent when used during day time but not recommended for night or late night as there are no street lights along the road plus Ghats fall in between Bangalore to Goa . I would advice to Drive during day time only as inside bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary you will not find even a tea stall for refreshment . so better carry your own food considering you have a small kid. Hae, Thank you for the video. The road was pathetic in February 2021. So we took chorla ghat. And since we are using civic & classic figo, have little ground clearance issue with bad roads. Could suggest this time? I am travelling in Jan last week. Looks like road constructions are done now,

Hello Allen C Fredrick, Hope you doing good! The Entire Anmod Ghat area is having smoothly constructed roads , except some 4-5 kms stretch which is being constructed before the anmod ghats near Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife Sanctuary . Here is the link to exact roads we went through- goo.gl/maps/MaQX3rBEXk5jJLf78 Additional Tip : When Entering Mollem (Goa Boarder area just after Anmod Ghats) keep your vehicle speed within limit of 60 kms ( as its all R.T.O area) otherwise you may attract heavy fines for over speeding! Hello Raviraj Bakre, Hope you doing good! When we went Goa (Mid December 2021), That road between Tinai Ghat connecting to Anmod check post was under construction( work in progress board was there) but it was about to complete, still we took another route to avoid any road closures. That detour from tinai ghat is two way road via wildlife sanctuary, Only Day time driving is preferable, so drive safely ! @@richadixitxplore thank you. Actually we come from Pune so we need to use that Mahavir Sanctuary road.. but that road is very narrow which causes issues when bigger cars try to overtake you or approach from the front. They display very uncouth and bully behaviour which is why i don't like such narrow roads.. i have heard from others that the cemented road is almost complete.. so i hope for the best and thanks once again..
