Your build is brilliant, I used a lumbermate mill for several years but your mill has overcome all the problems simply, warning yellow to lower log clamps invaluable will save blades when focused on tricky cut. Your ideas are simple but so effective, no clutch just jockey wheel, brilliant. Keep the filming simple if it means more videos, have missed you since your last logging vids , interesting that the older saws you used are now enjoying a comeback, look forward to your next.

Thanks for your comments. I have cut into the log dogs once already! Like you say it’s when you are distracted or busy thinking about something else. I would like to put out more vids. Yes, the old partners I have are great saws getting regular use. I now have a Husky 372xp, arguably the best chainsaw ever made :-)

A really excellent job, you seem to have thought of everything, but I am sure you will find more things to modify/include, when you start to use it in anger, it must be really nice to have this saw as you can cut the sizes you need, rather than keeping great heaps of ready cut wood in your barn, you even put fancy wheels on it! Well I plan on extending the bed with a foldable and/or easily remove able section for up to 16’ logs. Maybe some more storage areas and possibly a log turner and maybe even a drawback arm. It works great as it is and in conjunction with the digger with forks and chains, it’s easy and quick to work with. Luckily I have somewhere to store cut lumber to dry, it’s so addictive, cutting logs, you end up with loads.

What a fantastic piece of kit you have put together was missing the original kit you made for firewood but this is epic looking forward to seeing it in use 👍

Thanks! If you don’t mind the simple ‘no frills’ videos I can get more out. Editing takes a while and I end up not doing it. With a simple one take video with my iPhone it’s easy!
