Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico

Bandelier National Monument is a fantastic park about an hour north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. It houses many ancient cliff dwellings and they can be seen up close by using the park's wooden ladders to climb up into many of them. We set out on the 2.2 mile trail to visit many of the cliff dwellings, including Alcove House, which is accessed via 140 feet of ladders. Check this park out for yourself as it is awesome.

Bandelier is a favorite of ours. We sheltered in the kiva alcove from a thunderstorm, a very special experience.

Bandelier is always a good outing, and it's small enough to see while in Los Alamos for other things.

It looks like you picked a nice cloudy day to explore Bandelier. This keeps the tourist level down, plus it is more enjoyable due to the cooler hiking conditions.

Great video! It's on our list to visit as we want to visit all 419 National Park Units. Mesa Verde NP is another park where you have to climb some ladders to see cliff dwellings.

AWESOME!!! I have been a Longmire Fan (Books and Netflix) and the 'Valles Caldera Visitor Contact Station PRESERVE' is on my bucket list of places to see (Longmire's home in TV show). That is only 20 miles away from this location! I'm adding the Bandelier to that trip, was a great find! Love these videos, you're living my dream. I would Just to get behind the wheel and explore America. Keep them coming!!

Really enjoyed this. We were there last weekend. Your "California Through My Lens" channel was also amazing. Watched a lot of them before we went out to California a few weeks ago. Our home base is Arkansas, and if your ever this way we would like to share with you some of our amazing location in the Ozark and Ouachita National Forests. Another place that we would like like to show you is the Buffalo National River.
