Thanks so much for an honest review of the RhinoFlex-HD Bar. Your analysis is spot on in every way except for the loading/unloading segment. There’s no need to ever use chains, straps or belts to hold the bar down when loading/unloading. Simply place one end of the bar as close to the J cups as possible, then load your first plate so that it’s almost touching the upright. Take your hands away - the bar is not going anywhere. Load the other side with its first plate and put it wherever you want on the loading sleeve. Go back to the first side and put that plate where you want it. From then on, you can load the bar with more plates and no worry. Just reverse the process for unloading. Don’t forget - the first plate goes all the way in against the orange stop and as close to the upright as possible. Thanks again! 🦏

​@@Bandbellcould you confirm please whether the rhinoflex and earthquake series have the same amount of flex to the bars themselves? It seems to appear that the earthquake series would flex more given the rhinoflex HD is rated to 600lbs. Thank you.

@bandbell my goal is to only buy one bar. If one is to use the RhinoFlex HD Bar for overhead presses, do they get the same training stimulus of their stabilizers as they would with the Earthquake Bar assuming you load it in the same manner --- hanging KBs etc

Is this comparable to the tsunami bar in terms of usage?

I'm looking for a silent bar I can use at 5 am. Can't wake up the fam or neighbors. Dylan, can you do a simple drop test video with bumper plates? And contrast that with a standard metal bar with the same bumper plates? You can install a decibel meter app on your phone. Also, how big is your palm, measured from the tip of your thumb to the tip of your pinky?

Is the shaft black.

Great review man. Between this bar and a buffalo bar which would you choose? Im going back and forth between the two but can only get one…at least for now.

That's a tough one, but I'd say it depends on your training style. I have a Duffalo and love/use both regularly. The Rhino is great because it can be used for so many movements, but if your focus is more geared towards powerlifting I'd go with the buffalo bar. I find the Rhino works much better for rep work above 6-8+, but if you're going to be doing a lot of near max effort work in the 1-3ish rep range a buffalo would be my choice. The Rhino can be used for max effort work, but (IMO) that's not what it was designed for. Hopefully that helps with your decision! I don't have the money for a bar like this but God damn does it look like it would be fun to use.
