impressive that it is just the right size to put it in semi scale with shin ultraman

Always loved that the og gomess was a retooling of the 64 goji suit and how wild it look. Shin Gomess is basically that but to a crazier extent. I just love the overall bizarreness while keeping the homage. Prob cooler than goji imo.

Every decision made for the movie feels like a true labor of love. I guess it helps that Higuchi and Anno are big Ultraman fans! Something the US drastically needs more of in regards to adaptations. But ANYWAY, GOMESS IS AWESOME. now just keep making more of him Bandai. Treat him as you did Shin. M I L K ' D.

Shin Gomess is definitely close to how I imagine Shin Godzilla would look if it further evolved into an even more traditional Godzilla design. As in, more uniform texture, bigger claws and spines and what not, more symmetry. Also, I LOVE how the tail on this character/figure looks, and how it homages back to Shin Goji.

Then he mucks it all up and becomes Shin Jirahs and get's his frill snatched by Ultraman. A Perfect circle. It's an interesting 'what if' way to look at Shin Godzilla... like who the hell knows what he would've become. The tail really caught me in the moment, I knew it was there because of all of those early screen caps, but goddamn.. I didn't realize it was going to be like.. THERE if that makes any sense lol --- Would love if Bandai gave this mold some more love down the line!

I feel like they’d give it a yellowish tint just to give it a few more differences, either that or they’ll follow to close to old habits to where they use a different godzilla design

New shin Godzilla evolution

Hoping we get MMS figures of the other Ultra Q kaiju cameos from Shin Ultraman. Only three more left: Larugeus, Kaigel (Goga), and Mammoth Flower. Not feeling super likely, but then I wasn't expecting them to do Gomess, Pagos, and Peguila either.

Good review! Interesting comparison you made between the tail and the Mass Produced EVA- I have Shin Pagos and thought that the skull head was reminiscent to Sachiel. Loving these Shin Ultraman designs.

Thanks, fam! Given Anno's involvement, maybe it was intentional, or just a happy accident lol I need to get the rest at some point, Bandai is being rather unkind this year. sheesh. Really hoping they give us more of the Ultra Q Kaiju at some point, especially Mammoth Flower.

Wish shin gomess had more time

I love everything about this design, except for the tail mouth lol. I know it's another nod to Shin, but the original Gomess had double tail tips, and I wish they had just went with that.

Which is why an articulated figure of this guy is severely needed. Because the mouth HAS to open right? Then he'll be perfect.

Loving this figure already 😍😍😍, I was shocked that he has a face on he's tail😮, but very surprised that this shin Godzilla "upgrade" had an upgraded big arm, not that big but it's ok, buying this figure for sureeee....

Yeah he's a real winner from head to tail lol Kinda just want more of him now... which, since he's barely in the movie, probably wont happen. Gotta keep hope alive.

Yeah I love this original do not steal figure, and that tail is beautifully detailed, even though I view it as corn 🌽 rather than a face. Still pretty desperate for him since I'm struggling to get him for an acceptable price, first time in a bit where I've been desperate to get a Bandai figure for a while lmao.

I guess it's a double nod to the monster's double tail tip and Shin Godzilla all in the same breath. Unless they just thought it was "cool for the sake of being cool" and just tossed it on there all willy nilly lol

for the time being, i can't find an active listing. he's on amazon japan, but he's a little expensive as compared to what he normally goes for, coupled with shipping it's not very pretty. I can provide links of places to watch for, if interested.

I’m not sure if it will, as far as Amazon US goes. Unless resellers post it up. Bandai MMS & Amazon have been finicky and none too consistent since 2021.
