Having Shin Ultraman’s opening basically be Shin Ultra Q was brilliant

Shin Ultraman was an amazing movie. The shot composition was great, action was amazing and the characters were enjoyable with Ultraman being the most fleshed out of the cast. Though it went by so fast it almost felt like a digest of a larger series, would’ve wanted an extra 30 minutes though it was still great movie.

That's great to hear. Sounds like I'll enjoy *Shin Ultraman.* I loved everything about *Shin Godzilla* (the monster action, the acting, pacing, story, and the political talk). I'm looking forward adding the *Shin Ultraman* film to my kaiju movie collection.

@@travelingjazzman117 the political talking is weaker in Shin Ultraman compared to Shin Godzilla, it’s mostly the science patrol being smart compared to the government (even though they’re actually a branch of the government in the film)

There's a good chance of that if they move forward with a sequel, imo. SHIN ULTRAMAN was always concieved as a trilogy (SHIN ULTRAMAN, SHIN ULTRAMAN 2, SHIN ULTRASEVEN) confirmed by both Hideaki Anno and his Shin Ultraman Production Memo that are presented in the "Shin Ultraman Design Works Book" ... They're definitely going to need monsters populating those!

It was a cool reference for Gomess to be a modified Shin Godzilla because his suit was a modified 1965 Godzilla

very well researched, very accurate all around. if you arent aware of the origins of the differences between the final villain of the movie, well, lets just say it makes for one interesting contradiction of the source material, and one very good idea for a video.

I like the idea that if shin ultraman is connected to shin godzilla. The japanese peeps are ready for a kaiju attack since they had one back in 2016 (in universe), makes you wonder if ultraman got the godzilla spawns out of the way

Hehe they hit a good balance with shin ultraman between CGI and practical effects keeping that charm of the show while updating it for modern audiences.

You know there’s one question what happened to shin jirass or shin gomora or shin baltan, or shin red king, or shin etc.?

I love Ultra Q and take issue with the comparison to the x files. Ultra Q wasn't dark like that series, thankfully.

The Kaiju in Ultraman were always kind of goofy looking. Shin Ultraman does not disappoint in that area.

As for putting credits for the music in the description, at the moment, I only do that for music that doesn't come from the paid music sites that I use for licensed pieces (like the music you asked about). It would take an extra leg of work to cite every music track used so, for now, I'm probably not going to be able to do that. However, if there's ever a piece that catches your attention, feel free to ask and I'll try to get the track info to you!

So what if Shin Ultraman has a sequel and Jirass appears and fights Ultraman would he look like Shin Godzilla’s fourth form but have a greener skin pattern and a frill and the jaw splitting in have for his (or her) heat ray?

If we get that far! Definitely going to get to Neronga and Gabora. This is going to sound silly, but I'm hesitant to cover the other monsters until the movie gets a wide release ... Am trying to respect viewers who are avoiding spoilers but thumbnailing/titling videos something like "mystery kaiju" really hurts the video on an algorithmic level as oppose to just outright labeling it "Kaiju of Shin Ultraman : UltraQ". The big bad of which you speak is definitely a worthy topic but I think it'll have to wait a little while.

Planning on Neronga and Gabora next. Trying my best to hold off on the major spoiler ones. It will probably be a lot like the 'Lost Kaiju' of Singular Point series where each monster is gradually added over time.

As far as scrapped kaiju go, if more info come out, would love to! Will skip out on the fan theory stuff, though.

They could've used Kamata kun model for Jirass, if they decide to add him in the next production. It shows the deformity of an imperfect manmade beast.

Is Shin Ultraman a movie or s series? I can't imagine being able to fit so many Kaiju in one movie

Like the video notes, Anno had a few SHIN GODZILLA references thrown throughout. Have also heard that there's a scene where they reference moving a frozen monster to Antartica (or something) which plays off the finale of SHIN GODZILLA but haven't heard that officially confirmed anywhere myself in reviews or whatnot

I can see the resemblance to Twilight Zone and the Outer Limits but no similarity to the X Files, thankfully! I'll probably pass on Shin Ultraman because I'm not into CGI.

Great video. But you should learn how to pronounce Japanese names. Vowels in Japanese words are always pronounced separately. So Inoue is Ee-no-oo-ay.

⚠️Spoilers⚠️ I'm so hyped to see shin ultraman when it comes to the U.S because the kaiju battles look excellent already. The battle with Mefilas looks incredible i love how there evenly matched just like in the original. Speaking of the original I love the beginning of the zarab fight because it parallels the original fight. What I saw with zetton is that he is crazy powerful he was spamming ultraman with like millions of projectiles and he is literal a titan he is like 10x the size as ultraman
