ive had a look at all your reactions and im very suprised you seen to have missed misty mountain done by tim from home free and some other guy :) dont hate me im terrible with names

It's amazing that the Doobie Brothers used guitars, 2 set of drums, keyboards, other instruments and vocals to create this iconic song and 50 yrs later HF made it a classic once again using only Adam and their own vocal talents. I love all the new sounds Adam added including that high note in the beginning and during the breakdown. He looked like he really enjoyed doing this video and I'm so glad the bandanas are back.

Imo, this is their best cover, but almost all are better. They have an advantage --"let's try to make it better".

Bob, you will not be disappointed by them live in concert. In the meantime 2 weeks after they dropped this one, they did another MUST see, "Brother." It's entertaining in a whole different way. Great reaction as always and there are still many more HF originals and covers you've yet to discover.

Something to think about. We just listened to a song titled "Listen to the music " that had absolutely no music in it! The best part of Home Free is that they make you forget the fact that there isn't any.

Home Free never leaves a person feeling like "Meh, it was ok." Whatever emotion they are striving for, they make me feel it. As for that low bass slide it could have been Tim, but could also have been Adam or possibly Chance. But I'm torn between Tim and Adam because we've heard both of them do this effects. And I love when Adam throws in sounds that shouldn't work with the song, but they always do. I've been left shaking my head many times wondering how his artistic mind works. A few songs I'd recommend would be One Voice ft Billy Gilman, People ft Jeffrey East, and Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers. These just show how their chemistry works with other artists. I always say their like a small herd of magical Unicorns. They're just a very special group of men. Great reaction!

So glad you're going to be able to see them in concert. I made my first concert the end of July and I was so totally blown away by not only their talents but the fact that they sound as great in person as they do in a studio. Making another concert in October and can't wait. Being a teenager when the Doobie Brothers were around this was above and beyond my expectations of a cover song. Austin's lead was fantastic and Adam's beatboxing was on a whole new level. The sounds that man can make mystify me always. Thanks for a great reaction as usual. 🥰🎶🦋🎶

I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds. Adam is doing the high notes as you can see in the slowed down section.

I was at the same concert in Richmond. My first time seeing Home Free live also. It was great! And yes, I felt the bass in my body also..

They make every cover better than the original!

Austin may be singing lead but Adam is amazing in this one. You will love them live!

Enjoy the show. I'm jealous lol! I'm saving for tickets if they ever come close enough. I don't drive but I'll walk if I have too. HF NEVER disappoints!!! They take each song to another level making it their own. With each new release they seem to raise the bar and then leap over it like Superman over tall buildings. Great reaction!!!

I have seen them 5 times over 4 states, and can tell you that seeing and hearing them live is so worth whatever you need to do to get there (legally, of course :-)

I've listened to this one a few times, and I'm a harmony guy -- i.e., creative chord progressions keep me engaged more than most other aspects. I can't believe this one was the first time that I noticed the "lazy flowing river" section is just a repeat of the intro harmonically (and largely texturally aside from Austin's insertions in the intro). I love the flat 6 chord they thrown in there (assuming that's what you were referring to about something unexpected). And Tim's bass line here is a little different than what he does most of the time (reminds me of their Never Gonna Give You Up arrangement in some ways). Hope you enjoy seeing them. I saw them for the first time in Grand Rapids in June. Money and an evening well-spent. They are a great, and very creative, group.

Yes! Get the tickets! You gotta hear them live! I've been to several of their concerts and it's an experience. Many times tickets sell out so don't wait too long so you can get good seating.

This is what you get when 5 guys actually like each other and love making music. This song was one of my favorites in the 70's and Home Free once again upgraded a song and made it my favorite all over again. Great reaction! I would love you to check out "Boondocks/Fishin In The Dark" and "Country Roads". Both are excellent songs and up there in my top 10 of Home Free. Subbed for more HF!

This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung by Austin, but also Rob with the chorus, then the awesome harmonies and the bone-feeling bass makes it amazing. But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. He's incredible!! I Love Home Free. For me the best a-capella group

Totally Awesome!!! They put their minds to it they simply can sing anything and do it exceptionally well. They cannot be boxed in as a Country vocal group, they bring it to each genre they pursue............ Go Home Free!!!!!!!!!!!!!😎

I love this cover of the Everly Brothers' song from the 60's. They put a fresh Home Free spin on it without ruining the original vibe. Austin's voice soared so strong he could have knocked drones out of the sky. The harmonies were as rich and tasty as a Thanksgiving dinner. Tim's beautiful bass line was inspired and Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion was insane. He's always adding new and creative elements to his repertoire. The guys took an already terrific song, added their magic polish and created a precious jewel. What's really impressive is that the Doobie Brothers used a plethora of instruments including 2 drum kits and their voices. Home Free created magic with just their 5 voices. Love this awesome cover. Love Home Free. Thank you for your usual insightful reaction. I always enjoy them. I bought tickets for their show in Williamsport on the 27th of October and I'm so excited. It will be the first time seeing them live. I live in Elk Co. and have been waiting and waiting for them to be close enough that I could go.

Are you going to see them? I am in Colorado but have family in Pittsburgh and love the fall there so I bought tickets to their show in Greensburg. Never been to that area but am so excited to see them again. They are amazing. In that section near the end when they’re in front of the flags, Tim goes really low at the end…I think you just missed it. Yeah I think the growl is Tim although Adam could probably do it too but he’s so busy doing drumming and scratching. It’s a great rendition of the song. Has me dancing in my chair. I love this group very much! They bring their own style to every cover! Each group member brings something different, yet together they make wonderful music together. You are going to love the live show! It is an experience like no other! I’ve been to many Rock concerts in my life, and the only one that comes closest to Home Free, in my opinion, are the Eagles. I’ve seen The Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and many others, and loved them all, but Home Free takes top spot for me. I’ve seen them 7 times (nothing compared to many who’ve seen them 100’s of times), the Eagles twice, Little River Band three times (the most next to Home Free), and Billy Joel and Elton John twice also. My generation of music is 70’s (the best in my opinion). Loved your reaction and appreciation of the talent of these 5 guys.

I’m so happy you’re going to experience them live…and it is an experience! I’m going to see them in October, too.

These guys always find ways to surprise and delight Darren Rust is the one who mixed and recorded this.

I think Home Free singing different styles of music is what keeps their voices so versatile. That little growl, I believe, was Adam Rupp. I think every singer should be having fun when they sing. That's what makes a great singer. Hopefully you know what I am trying to say. Just having a good voice doesn't make a great singer. You have to feel what you are singing.

The Doobie Brothers are great, this is one of my favorites and these guys did an awesome cover!!🔥🔥 One of my favorites of theirs!!🎶🎵❤️

Going to see them live? Fantastic idea but word of warning. Take a seatbelt. You'll need to hang onto your seat and buckle up. Tim (and Chance and Adam) will vibrate every seat in the house and the concert will be over before you know it. They have a great sense of humor and you will laugh and clap and enjoy. Have fun!

@@bobcieslinski the concert was great. Adam Chance went to school with my kids. All were in the band. He played the saxophone while my son was Drum Major. But to say this, I have known AC since he was a toddler. Our families lived within walking distance when I was growing up.

This came up on a playlist the other day when I was in and out of the room doing laundry and when it came on and I was not specify paying attention I thought to myself "I didn't know the Doobie Bros. were on this playlist!" These guy are so good they fooled me, or I fooled myself. They haven't butchered a Cover yet, in fact some are in my book as lest as good if not better than the original. What Home Free and Don McLean did with American Pie for the 50 year reboot just blew me totally away, I loved it.

This one was pretty awesome and so are most of their songs. I haven’t checked out the American Pie one yet. I’ll have to do that John.

Love so many of their covers. But this is their best. Just my opinion?

A Home Free upgrade

They're coming to Williamsport Pa to the Community Art Center. I live close to Williamsport Bob and my son and I will be there also. We got the VIP meet and greet tickets. Love your reactions! I've said it before, these guys could sing the warning label on a bottle of cyanide and make it sound appealing. Lol! Maybe we'll see you at the Art Center.

LOL, you are so right about them. That's awesome that you got tickets! Williamsport is on the other side of the state for me. I wish I was there to bump into you, but I will be going the the show in Greensburg which is south of Pittsburgh. I can't wait!

I recently found your reaction page and been enjoying your commentary but haven't see any reactions to Voctave an acapella group, I suggest to watch their "Disney Princess Medley"
