Chris Rupp and Darren Rust were the main arrangers at the time but I think this was Darren.

Jen is going to *melt* at this song. Shot in one take, she's in for a treat.

Tim Foust's idea for this mashup. He was aware of the lawsuit between Ed Sheeran and the Marvin Gaye estate due to the similarities of these two songs. Yes, that's Reilly and McKenzie Zamber aka The Hound and The Fox in the video and they also produced and directed the video as part of their production company Fifgen.

The Hound & The Fox also have a video of Thinking Out Loud that is them getting ready for this date.

This video was shot in one continuous take, with the boys running around behind the camera to be on their mark for the camera to pan past them again, the BTS video for this is quite fun to watch as well.

I love that Tim threw that starting wap-wap-wap-waaaw out there during recording and they decided they wanted it, and then he realized he had to perform it live every time they do this song. There are live versions where he's just like.... *Sigh*.... *Big breath*... Wap wap wap waaaw...

One thing that is often missed in this video (especially with reactors) is that it is one take. Beginning to end, no cuts. Adds another layer of impressiveness.

They recorded this at the same place they did the Butt Remix, it was all at the same time. This is also done in one take!

Even though these are not my favorite songs, the vocal gymnastics are pretty amazing. And it's always fun to watch you get Timsmacked and Austinized. Chris' behind the scenes is fun, too. Have a great day!

Not to give anything away, but, the guys are gonna sing their faces off for us and The Hound and the Fox are adorable here.

Love this mashup. I've seen a couple of concert videos where they perform this and it sounds fantastic - just more proof of how talented they are.

Home Free, when they do their videos, tend to do marathon shoots. So they will take two or three or more days of down time and put into making several music videos. So this one was shot in the same location and in the same time frame as the Butt's remix. I think Chris said they had rented the space for 2 or 3 days so made the best of the situation by doing multiple shoots. I think they recorded another one at that time...I think it was "Country Fried Pop Medley" but I can't be certain. The brick wall in the back of that video is visible in the Butt's Remix video at one point. At least the lighting is very similar. So I am thinking they did all three videos in the location.

If you haven’t heard his pre-Home Free version of Can’t Help Falling in Love yet, check it out. It really shows his range and he plays the piano. It’s not on his channel, but you can find it easily by searching his name and the title.

Tim takes over and Jen just leans back speechless and gestures to the screen. And yet we all still understand. Then when Austin comes back, does the same thing. Yes Jen, we feel the same

Oh Jen! I do love watching your brain melt and the top of your head explode! The fact that Home Free is so versatile and nimble with their vocals make certain that we Home Fries will never get bored because it's always a guessing game as to who's going to sing what at any given moment. And they'll never become stagnant because they continue to grow and challenge themselves. That makes me so happy! Great analysis as always! ❤

I love watching your reactions to Home Free. By the end you almost look like you're mentally exhausted.

I'd heard this before but you dear Jen have brought a new level of appreciation to this performance.

McKenzie and Reilly Zamber are very involved in creating the videos of Peter Hollens, Home Free, Pentatonix, and other groups. It is not surprising that they are in this video or that they have had such a close association with Peter, Tim, and Adam Chance over the years, collaborating with them musically. H + F, Hollens, & Chance are all located on the West Coast.

I KNEW when I saw this reaction was 30 minutes long that it meant you had a LOT to comment on so it was going to be a really good one !! 😊

This is still my favorite video by Home Free. It has it all: two great songs, a great arrangement and a lovely story/acting/direction by two of my other favorite singers. It something he does when he’s being cheeky or sexy or both, lol.This is my favorite live version of this song. It starts out funny but when they get into the song, it’s amazing. I am soooo happy! I have wanted to see your reaction to this song ever since I first saw you react to Man of Constant Sorrow! And seeing your eyes raise right off the bat at Tim's wap wap wap waaaa made sure I was going to see one of your better reactions to them. Did you note that this video was a one-shot? They said it was a lot of work but well worth it.

This was actually filmed the same place as the Butt's Remix. Tim didn't think he would ever do that beginning in a song. He was just messing around with the opening notes. Always enjoy watching your reaction and analysis of these songs.

Jen I'm surprised you didn't notice and comment on the whistling. It's very subtle and way in the background but accents well. Nobody mimed it for the video but I'm assuming it was Rob taking the role during recording as he has on previous occasions. Regardless, yours as always was a wonderful reaction. I would suggest reacting to home free's cover of castle on the hill!

I like the subtle lyrics from "Let's Get It On" in the background during Austin's second verse/bridge (c'mon c'mon c'mon baby) which I think is being sung by Rob & Chris. While all songs show off ranges and talent, I felt this one really showed off the variety of vocal-fries, riffs, growls, cries, yodels, breathiness... just a very diverse showing here. (Also thank you for having a transparent r/ah like me... as I am from the Boston USA area and we tend to only have a 25-letter alphabet here/he-uh).
