Songs For Lovers was a side project by Henrik and Aron, during the pandemic, while Jonah was busy with his solo album and all their regular gigs were cancelled, so that's why Jonah isn't in this one. I don't even think it's him playing the keyboards, as the credits doesn't mention it, and it usually does when they actually have a real person doing stuff for them (i.e. Henrik's brother is mentioned on guitars in one of them and Jonah on keyboards in the one where they actually did have him join them (Coffee Break Is Over)). They said (in an insta live when they were releasing this, iirc) that they had done most of the other instruments by programming them, and that all songs were written really quickly, in just a day or two, just to have something fun to do and release when everything else was ground to a halt.

Thanks so much for reacting to this - one of my favorites. Appreciate the details you pulled out: my ears only know that they make me incredibly happy, but don't know what's happening or why. You help fill in those blanks so I can bring my mind to the party too. Yep, DL is one of my top four performers/performing groups. Can't get enough.

I don’t listen to DL as often as before, but seeing their ”spelglädje” (Swedish) still makes me smile 🙂 And yes, thanks for your detailed reaction! Fun to watch your reaction too 😁 This is a side project, Songs for lovers, where Henrik & Aron made some songs together. You might also like their Old Armando had a farm and Pink power!

@@JamilaGomez82 Maybe we listened to them too much? 😉 I tend to listen very intense to an artist, band etc when I really like them and then I kind of have ”emptied my listening account” and need a pause before actively coming back to them 🙂. But seeing them now and them like this is always joyful!

"Songs for Lovers" is kind of an instrumental side project. Henrik and Aron are in all of them while Jonah appears only in "Coffee Break is Over". Definitely three of the baddest on the planet and great, informative comments on your end of things. Thanks so much.

Nice to see your mind blown again with these two, Bob, and yes I totally agree, they’re some of the baddest dudes in the music scene right now! You mentioned the ease with which Henrik seems to play, and all I know is that he’s purposefully practiced to relax whilst playing fast, something a lot of musicians aim at doing…. and that he’s practiced HEAPS. Same would all be true for Aron, I guess. “Pink Power” from the same series is fun too, again just the two of them. Then there is “Breakdown” from their Phoenix album, with some amazing vocals from Jonah 🔥 And all the other stuff from their first release, Loopified, such as “Where’s The Beat”, “Just Dance (Lady Gaga cover), “Roller Coaster” (J. Bieber cover) and so much more. All mindblowing arrangements-. As always I very much enjoyed your comments and analysis of these bad mofos, can’t wait for more 🔥☺️🔥

These days other musicians make covers of DL's covers.

I actually like that Jonah isn't involved in most of the songs on this project. It allows us to appreciate what the other two can do without him. It's still enjoyable.
