Imagine making a song as incredibly beautiful as Monsters, and having it be a "song we haven't played in a long time." Most bands would kill to make a song that sounds half as good as this.

I love how the song takes off on the second half and in the ending. Sounds like redemption.

I’ve loved BOH since their early days in Seattle, and saw them play here again last Nov. They opened with this song and since then I’ve been kind of obsessed with it! This video is great!

Honestly, I’ve seen the lyrics written both ways. Personally, I think it makes more sense to say “A treat for all these problems”. He’s referring how the giant, little animals come to eat on me (us), how we’re the treat (food source). I hope you can understand my English. Sorry it took 2 years for a response. I saw them recently at House of Blues Dallas. It was their first song and about 1/4 of the way through Ben forgot how to play it and just started laughing. He said "I honestly forgot how to play this, maybe I'll practice it next time we try to play it" and he just stood up and sung the rest of the song

There’s a video floating around YT of Sam Beam (Iron & Wine) - I think it’s a Tiny Desk Performance - where he takes requests and someone asks for a song and you can see him thinking about it, working through the chords in his mind, and then he just says no. Haha He’s so apologetic but he just says that he hasn’t played it in years and he’ll butcher it and never forgive himself. It’s brutal, you can tell how uncomfortable he is. That was crazy honest of him.

They may not the be prettiest tattoos but I think you did not comprehend a single word of their lyrics. Music of that depth has not deserved you as a listener in my humble opinion. With all respect you probably better move on to a Bon Jovi clip or anything like that...

wonderful, everything, amazing song, excellent performance, but just one thing… can someone tell him how to use properly the steel tone bar? I bet that they could make it stand out more, I'm sure they don't do that because it has a weird sound if he doesn't mute the strings with his ring finger behind the bar. :P
