Perfect delivery of a reaction. Let the music play, pause as little as possible, comments at the end. Well done. Oh, and by the way, Band-Maid is the best Rock band on the planet today. Name another band whose live songs are always better than the studio tracks.

There's nothing random about the English used in Band-Maid's songs. It's always used properly with their Japanese lyrics. They use English when it fits the melody better than Japanese would, but the meaning is the same. When writing lyrics, Miku sometimes uses words that have both an English and a Japanese meaning when it fits the song.

Personally, I think what Band-Maid does best is not wow you with impressive technique but do the basic things very very well. The rhythm section is one of the most important aspects of a rock band - it might not be the most noticeable but what they do is what gets your butt moving. Akane and MISA are capable of impressing you, but what they do best is more basic than that. Both of them play "musically" - they put feeling into their music. It is rare to find bands that do it as well as they do. Rock doesn't have to be complicated!

I'm starting to think that everyone in the band is part of rhythm section, by interplaying each other to create the distinctive groove.

Just a side comment on your T shirt and background- I saw the Rolling stone in 1964 which means it's my 60th anniversary of seeing live music. Some time later I saw Rory Gallagher's Tattoo tour in 1973. His best live album is Live In Europe- 1973. Unfortunately the Irish Tour album- 1974 is poorly produced and the live videos are chopped up and out of sequence. Like you, I've since found these fantastic ladies and seen them live in London in 2019 just before Covid.
