Banaras and its Ghats!
Banaras, Mahadev ki Nagri, often brings very distinct emotions in so many of us and we are drawn to it for one reason or the other. For some, it is Mokshadayani or the place to get salvation, for some it is the city where Buddha gave his first learnings while for some it is the Kashi Vishwanath template that draws them in.
POI's team went on a journey to unfold Banaras and bring to you soul stories from the city. We spoke to Sadhus and the Boatmen on the Ghats, the historians and librarians of the city, the common folks who have made the city their own home and indulged ourselves in the soulful food of Banaras.
However, we had to start our narration of Banaras with the one thing that signifies the ties of the city with life and death itself - the Ghats of Banaras. Get to know why the city is called Mahadev ki Nagri, what do people feel and believe life and death is in Banaras and what does it feel like to be present at Manikarnika.
Every Ghat of Banaras has its own unique personality, from the bustling Dashashwamedh Ghat, where the grand Ganga Aarti enchants all who witness it, to the tranquil Assi Ghat, where one can reflect in solitude, or the Manikarnika Ghat where the bodies of the deceased are burnt. Whether you're a seeker of spirituality, an admirer of architectural marvels, or simply a traveler in search of the authentic essence of India, Banaras Ghats offer an unforgettable experience.
Ganga flows ceaselessly here, an eternal witness to the passage of time and the cycle of life. The Ghats of Varanasi, with their timeless charm, stand as a testament to the resilience of traditions and the enduring power of faith. To visit the Banaras Ghats is to embark on a journey not just through space but through the very soul of India itself.

I have been there twice luckily.. And I felt blessed and a huge difference in mind and soul each time I entered there for vising all the ghats in the evening. Being a Hindu guy, I just realized ki Har ek Hindu ko Char Dham k tarah Kashi life me ekbar Jana chahiye..Agar zindagi ki ankhri ghari udher beet Jaye to usse badi moksh ho hi nahi sakte.

It's a excellent efforts of POI which explored the enriched heritage of Banars.India is a potential bank of cultural heritage which is to be highlighted for new generation. POI efforts are appreciable.
Untold and hidden story of holy place like Varanasi is put forth which is amazing and updated trends . Congratulations POI for your excellent efforts.
