Bamyan also referred to as the “Shining Light” is one of the oldest cities in central and South Asia. Inhabited since approximately 900 years BH (before Hijrah), Bamyan is known for having a buddhism heritage within it's past in a country which as of today is inhabited by a majority muslim population. A lot of landmarks remain from the past of Bamyan.

@@afghanistan9196 Thank you, I really loved the country and the people, and yes I did feel safe there and would love to visit again🙂. For me I did find the heat a little difficult, especially in Mazir Sharif, as I am not used to such high temperature in Ireland, so if I was returning I might come before summer🙏
