It's way more than that. I consider myself a good listener, there are plenty of people which can do that part, but JJ understands and relates to most of the stuff his guests talk about. That combined with the fact he lets his guests speak and doesn't make assumptions makes them feel understood better than in most environments and they open up.

Yep! Plus it’s more genuine especially since it’s a form respected player asking. Plus If it where me I’d rather support a fellow nba basketball brother and his podcast than the mainstream media that you know doesn’t understand and really don’t care about you.

I love how JJ asks great questions that NBA fans would love to know the deeper story of without creating drama like mainstream media does and receiving an honest response from the athletes

Eh, he is leading bam with an answer, would be best to just ask him straight up “what happened after the altercation and how’s the team doing?” Vs “is that something that lingers, or are you guys because of the foundation…” Bam literally repeats JJs last sentence so he’s helping him answer it. No need for the additional leading.

Best NBA media content this year for me has been these podcasts and excerpts. Gives me a vibe like Thybulle's bubble vlogs.

JJ Redick is the best “media”. Hands down. This is real stuff

All the Smoke, the Shop, Draymond Green Show, Club Shay Shay, Club JJ lol, all these athlete's shows are way better than anything any media outlet could produce.

I think the reason those shows are so great is because there is mutual respect and trust between the people. Also the intention that these shows have: JJ doesnt want drama and get as big as possible. He wants to give the viewers which are interested, a real view behind the scenes.

This is why I never understood the reaction to it, things like this happen all the time. Even Draymond and KD said the reaction to their on court argument was made the situation 10X worse

I love how indepth JJ gets with these players. One of my favorite podcast along with the mcafee show

Its so refreshing to listen to this podcast and just hear normal basketball discussions without any angle or agenda. It makes it even harder to enjoy shows like First Take where any little detail is sensationalized.

I love how they interview these guys and talk about stuff that’s CURRENT and fresh on the mind. These type of stories don’t come out until usually after the season and sometimes after ppls careers.

I love… the love I see in the comment for a content so different from regular media, aka the guy who ask the question just be silent during the answer despite the lack of “television timing”.
