I'm gearing up to purchase a Cross in .308 and am really struggling to decide what glass to put on it. I've had my eye on the MeOpta Optica6. Build quality looks to be outstanding and it's got a fantastic reputation. That said, I'm seriously considering the Sierra6 BDX. I'm planning on getting a new Kilo5 rangefinder anyway so the Sierra seems like the perfect fit. This will be a general purpose rifle. Hunting, target shooting, etc. Is it safe to assume that you would endorse the Sierra6 for this purpose?

The Sierra6 3-18 is perfect for the 308 , l run the same scope on my own Sauer 308 (cant get a cross here yet) .

Sorry, I forgot a final question. Will the Sierra6 3-18X44 work with Sig's medium height Alpha1 aluminum rings or will it require the high height rings?

I would think the med would be close but would like to have a rifle here to check , unfortunately we are still waiting on the Cross rifles to land in NZ
