I'm having a ton of fun modifying these Automatic Expandable Batons. I have a ton of gadgets ideas in mind. Leave your ideas below!
Don't have access to a lathe? Well in this episode I show how you can use a hand drill to sharpen the tip of this Bo-Shurkien for some make-shift lathe action! Just tighten it down in the chuck and use a file and sand paper to make it nice and pointy!
Don't be fooled! This packs a powerful punch and can still be expanded with a quick flick of the wrist. You do lose some reach, but some of the baton functionality is retained. Not a bad modification in my opinion. Hope you enjoy!

try leaving the last section with the taper intact. If it's hollow behind the end cap make a thinner dart that will fit inside. maybe put a magnet in the bottom to hold the dart. This way the spring doesn't fly out and you can reload faster, or maybe make really thin darts so you can put 3-5 of them in to shoot in a single shot. just a thought keep up the great work!

I saw someone's comment about explosive arrow and I immediately thought that it's possible. You could make an explosive tip like an rpg missile that could explode on impact or be tweaked to explode after a certain amount of time and spread shrapnel. Downside of this is that it's not reusable and it's dangerous, be safe and happy testing :)

one major improvement i can see with this is adding some sort of plate to the spring so that it stops at a certain point and you wont risk sending the spring as well as the projectile to wards the enemy making it useless and unable to reload again, another thing you could do would be make some sort of bolt and a small slot n the actual handle so you dont have to push it onto something, making for quicker reloads, using some sort of bolt and a hole in the projectile or something, another thing i could recommend would be to taper were the screw on tip and the actual bolt meets so its not the sharp tip and then just flat metal, if you do that it will go through objects much smoother and if you shoot it at anything harder than styraphome it wont just stop at the tip. one last thing would be to harden and temper he bolt, which would help it not bend on the tip like that, plenty of vids on youtube of how to do that, overall tho this thing is fucking cool as shit, keep making vids like this

Maybe if you attatch the two batons to the two shield pieces that are the furthest away from your arm and have the shield open in two places eg 1 baton opens half and and the other opens the other half. This would spring the shield open really quickly. It would be easier to show you but do you get what I am saying?

Now what he should do is put some kind of guard that stops the spring from coming out as far because after about 4 inches out of the barrel then the energy is gone thus it isn't necessary for the spring to come out as far also im thinking take another bit but instead of doing a spear type design do a very small arrow or at very least and arrow head i believe that something with a smaller head will have less resistance and fly farther if your lucky maybe add another 10ft on it also I don't know if this is true I'm no expert but I have heard you can wind springs together and make them a hell of a lot stronger maybe adding another 5-10 ft on to it thought if that were to work you would have to figure it how to make sure that you arrow head flies straight also you would either have to get and make a new barrel or modify the one you have to accommodate said arrow or arrow head
