    I have a snake with a split belly scale. I have to look in the morning and see where it is in my collection. I thought the previous owner kept it way wrong and it had a bad shed so it lost some scales but it may be a scaleless head now. Either way he is a really good snake

    Chris Hardwick love your channel brother. One day you will be shipping me a bamboo hahaha. So it’s his/her 3rd scale from the vent that’s split. Guess it was just poor husbandry on the old owners part on why its missing scales. Which I know can happen frkm poor humidity/sheds. I say he/she because I cannot pop hemipeens which I can do on any other snake in the world and it has the smallest tail I have ever seen lol. I don’t breed anymore, just breed leopard geckos, so I sold off my probes and other items. Guess I’ll take it to a buddies to sex it. I do have this tool that’s used in stamp making that looks like a probe though lol. It’s a metal rod with a ball on the end. Haha. Don’t worry I’m not going to stick a random foreign object up my snake haha. Anyway love your videos! Keep it real! Andy

    I have what I've been calling a "Dinker" female normal. Parent s were a leopard x pinstripe. She has a super marked up belly couple real high flames, section of over the back chained alien heads and what seems to be alot of extra cheerios. She hads really define water mark under her eyes, very light faded head stamp shaped like a butterfly, and that very same eye mark stripe you showed toward video end. With the leopard she may or may not be het for pied (can't hurt to hope). She doesn't display the long sharpie track towards vent but does display a small short track on either side. Will try to prove out the pied with a visual pied. If she doesn't prove, at least I've made some 100% het neonates, and she's gorgeous either way. Thanks for the content. Following consistently

    The markings under the Classic Ball Python's eyes remind me of my Boa Imperator's markings. I am very impressed with the Super Black Head. Chris, you have an interesting and attractive female Dinker. If you make a super with her , you could call the morph "Cowboy Chris". Enjoyed this informative lesson and the history behind the morphs.

  • @ChrisHardwickanimaladventures

    That's a tough one, I checked Morphmarket and there are 35 recessive genes. Trying to buy a visual of anything to hit that het would be nearly impossible. Probably the best way to do it is to keep several of the male offspring and breed it back to that female, you'll have a 50% chance of the males getting that gene, may take a few years to do it.

    So I’m probably going to get a little crap about this but I have to say something. So my very first clutch of the year my bumbleebee laid 6 great looking eggs one even has a clear window they looked had great tho great veins embryo on top they looked great I’ve been cooking them at 89.6 since May 15th I deciding to change the press and seal and candle the eggs again at 15 days old and they all looked great it seemed like there was growth going on the veins were thick and red I candled the one with the clear window and you could see a little baby snake already forming they seemed awesome tho and so I went to change the press and seal again yesterday about 5 days after the last candling and 2 of the eggs (1 of them being the clear window egg) were just really soft and mushy kind of deflated so I candled them and I didn’t see any veins anymore and there seemed to be solid spots forming on the bottom of the egg so I put those in a seperate box fast forward to today I candled the other 4 eggs that did have veins yesterday another 2 of them seemed soft mushy and veinless but the other 2 felt like normal all my other snake eggs you can see the vein and embryo still so out of a clutch of 6 I’m thinking 2 may survive and I hate to put this out there but I’m pretty sure it’s bc I paired a butter,champagne to a bumble bee which I know is said to be a lethal combo and a big no no but if you look it up this one guy produced a champagne bumblebee he sent it in to world of ball pythons he named it the atlas rafik reptiles produced it and so bc he produced one I thought maybe with butter and pastel in the mix I could make the combination work also but now here I sit feeling like a bad breeder and a fool I mean why else would they go 20 days and die I do know no I’ll never go down that road again it could’ve been worse I know I’ll probably get crap about this but whatever I’m human

  • @ChrisHardwickanimaladventures

    @ChrisHardwickanimaladventures

    4 жыл бұрын

    It could be from the lethal combo, I've always been worried about candling eggs in the incubator because my LED light gets so hot and may heat up the egg if I candle a bit too long. I actually never candle snake eggs, if it's not a slug you know its fertile. My first few clutches dried out and died, it's all part of the learning process. There's many more years to come if you stick with it.

  • @TesseraCraft
    @TesseraCraft4 жыл бұрын

    freeways have got to be pretty esay to reproduce if you think about it. buy an ivory, and breed it to a freeway. 50% freeway 50% ivory. or breed 2 freeways and get a super asfault and you breed that to an ivory. if ivories are so cheap then it is not that hard. In corn snakes the Ultra gene is pretty hard to track so most people just track it by breeding amels to ultramels since it is ellelic. now if you are looking for a ultra corn snake almost noone breed for them. it seems like all of the breeders are jsut happy with ultramel, but don't have interest in the ultra gene outside of that. Amel is such a common gene in corn snakes that unless your breed line comes from 2 wild caught parents you have a chance that the snake is het amel.

    So I recently got a female ball python, but the people I got her from got her from someone that bought her from a Petco, and she was labeled as a Fancy as they normally do. I don't know what she is, and my only guess is a Specter. But I have no clue if she's anything else? Could you maybe help me out? Here's a link to a post on Instagram with a few pictures of her: instagram.com/p/CC7OexHHCuF/?igshid=q79hoai5tvh

    @@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures weird. Guess I'll have to try and see how it goes once she's old enough to breed, then. Should be interesting lol

    @@Th3Tr0113r unfortunately, she's still only about 1000 grams so we're about a year off from breeding her to find out. But I do have a super stripe male to breed with her to prove out if she's at least specter

    @@joeydraws4559 well if for some reason it pops into your head about the random stranger who wanted to know how they ended up on KZread let me know if you are able to successfully get a clutch! Good luck with that by the way I bet they'll be pretty badass no matter how they prove!

    Purchased a "normal" but the markings indicate it could be a Russo. Just a baby right now but can't wait to prove him out. Thinking of using a mojave female.
