Baling 1st Cut `23 Hay w/ Farm Maxx Mini Round Baler
Come along with us today on the farm as we bale our 1st cutting of 2023 hay off our main hay fields with the Kubota L3200 and the Farm Maxx FMRB-330 Mini Round Baler. Baling on a super windy day (wind from incoming thunderstorms!) was a hardy chore with the wind actually blowing the windrows around some. Thanks for subscribing and watching!

Like seeing that small baler in action. I really need to invest in something like that. Right now we get our hay cut on the share system. But it would be nice to keep it all...

Thanks! Yes, we used to do the same...someone else cut our hay and for payment took almost half of it...we decided that had to stop. Thats when we seriously took up making our own hay and its grown from there!
Great video! Wondering how you pick up and stack your hay

we use our Honda ATV and a trailer behind to gather hay bales from the field, or the pickup truck, depending on how big the hayfield is. We stack in a honeycomb pattern in the barn, works great. Thanks for watching!
I curious on why the busket on baling twine?

It was an older but good roll of jute twine that comes off the roll from the outside. the planter bucket was to keep it from swinging out and tangling with the twine arm as it moves across.
The gathering wheels problem is an expensive issue. I found a set for a different brand, but they need some modifications. $600 for a set. I have contacted the salesmen, but didn't purchase the wheels. Still looking for a proper fit.

average between 45-50#
Can that tractor handle a bigger baler if it can should you have gotten a bigger baler like a 4x4 that's not much bigger I don't think and there would be less bals so wouldn't that be better?

These bales are comparable (maybe a tad bigger than an average small square bale), can be handled by the average person WITHOUT using a tractor and spear, so no, not necessarily "better"...it depends on you particular circumstance. With feeding hay, one size does not fit all....
Shame on you making that poor lady carry those bales!!!....lol
