Balinese dance tutorial: basic steps for warm up (Dasar gerakan tari Bali untuk pemanasan)

Here is an introduction to some basic moves of Balinese dance. I hope it is of some help to you. Just remember, I am your mirror! That means I have reversed the L-R positions so you can follow along with me. Harap mengikuti gerakan saya seolah melihat layar kaca ya....yaitu kaki kanan saya menjadi kaki kiri Anda. Semoga tidak membingungkan dan semoga cukup bermanfaat. Maaf atas segala kekurangan saya~

With ngelir, is the pinched eye slightly open or totally closed and the other eye is looking to the front the whole time doing ngelir? Do you always pinch the right eye when ngelir? So it's not left agem and then left eye pinching, right agem right eye pinching? When left agem for women the fingers are pointing to the left. does this also goes for the right agem? btw thanks so much for these videos.

ceripopgumi sorry I just saw your question. I just pinch the same eye no matter which agem. the face will move in a different direction depending on the agem.

some people don't close the eye completely but I think it looks better to cloee it. the left agem only has the hand "sleeping." The right agem has both hands up. for in between dances, usually both hands stay pointing up no matter which agem
