Bali - Solo motorbike ride around the island - part 2 of 3
I ride a motorcycle around the tropical island of Bali in Indonesia, exploring the coast line and places off the main tourist spots. In this episode I explore the far west of the island, stopping at the port town of Gilimanuk and passing Menjangan Island.

Sorry for the slow reply, I am in the middle of nowhere on the next adventure and it's hard to come a cross a signal out here. Thanks for the support Jaco, I'm working on the next series now, hopefully I'll be able to upload soon
You are showing places that I most probably ever see in my lifetime. Like you I believe that the real experience of any place is through the locals. Thank you for sharing such wonderful experiences. Namaste

Glad it gives you an idea of what's over there. I'll be over there soon as well. A great place to explore.
So different watching one of your episodes without the familiar thump of the Himalayan in the soundtrack. The traffic reminds me a bit of Thailand, just a little less insane.

Yes all south east Asia has that similar feel when it comes to traffic, organised chaos

I have driven in both Bali and Thailand. Bali is far more insane and dangerous.
These videos make me feel like i'm in Bali. 👍

Stayed at Nusa Dua for our honeymoon in 1987 and there were only two hotels. Wow what a difference

That reminds me of nice Indo memories. The footage is great, what gear did you use if you don't mind me asking?

Indo is a magical place. I am using a DJI Osmo Action for filming when on the bike (from the helmet) otherwise I using a Sony A7SIII. I am taking photos with a Sony A7RIII, I only have room for 2 lenses Sony GM 24mm 1.4 and Sony GM 70mm - 200mm 2.8. I also have a DJI Mavic Pro drone

Do you think this trip is doable for a 60 year old?
@freewayproject

Yes definitely doable. You don't go over 60km per hours really anywhere. When you are in towns it is like anywhere in South East Asia, you give room to other motorbikes and scooter (no sudden moves) and they will give room to you. There are villages all the way around so you can stop anywhere. All up it only about 350 - 400km so you could do it in a day if you really pushed it, but taking your time and exploring is way more fun. I hope that helps
Were you wearing a Helmet?

Yes, always. It would be stupid not to.
