I cannot wait until I can play a gray dwarf. I just think they are badasses!

The fight against them in the Underdark one of the most fun in game. I'd love to play as one.

These guys are much more interesting than I had expected. I look forward to playing one in BG3.

It's funny you mentioned a duergar thief, I literally want to play one because of their innate invisibility! Also I love the look of a chunky thief! love your videos!

Invisibility seems pretty good, but the giant growth is really weak and badly needs a buff. I might need to learn modding for that though.

A cool race but at this point they would not delay the release too much to implement them.

No, the duergar revolt was much later and much more localised, involving only the one clan Duergar, which later expanded. The Githyanki one is much more ancient.

Yeah the Illithids didn't seem to end up in the Underdark(s of various worlds at least Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk) till after they'd already lost their empire to the Githyanki

As I understand it, the gith are actually the mutated, experimented versions of humanoid races that had been enslaved far in the future where mindflayers ruled over all existence. When the gith rebelled, I believe the last vestiges of mindflayers that weren’t slain fled back in time; but the gith pursued them out of pure vengeance. Essentially, the illithids we encounter now are the shadow of some eldritch nightmare of the future…terrifying; but significantly reduced from their tyrannical might.

Thank you for your video. It is informative because before this video, I just knew them from playing Baldur's Gate 3.

Duergar are awesome! I just wish that Aberrant Mind had made it in as a Sorcerer subclass to go with them.

2:40 I think those might be Derro. Slighly bluer tint, big white eyes, and fuller heads of hair.

I'm at that fight in the Underdark right now and I can't get advantage on any of them, the setup is tactically bad...going to be fun
