I believe if Orin took his form he will be dead the next long rest you visit the forge. Thats when you find the blood and letter shown in this video

@@jackychen6261 I unfortunately never went back to her in that playthrough, so I may never know. 😆

Two different runs, Gildro is taken and killed, but I've never had a note(or blood) appear in that spot. I found his body in the Bhall temple and still didn't get the option to tell her that he had died.

Huh i always got to meet him and it was orin pretending to be him everytime did you longrest a lot or something in the city before meeting him?

Orin will take the place of up to two people: The blacksmith, a Flaming Fist named Rowan, the Dying Stone Lord Thug, Lens the Journalist, and Zethino the Master of Love at the Circus. She'll technically replace all of them if you check using the inspect feature, but she only kills and replaces the first two you talk too, and she will stop once she has abducted someone from your camp. If you want my recommendations, speak to the Thug and Lens. Thug is dead if you talk to him anyways so no harm in sacrificing him to Orin, and Lens gives you "Stop the Presses" which is an obnoxious sidequest.

@@crazybakabaka I don’t know, I actually enjoyed “Stop the Presses”. As obnoxious as Ettvard is, it makes pulling a swifty on him all the more satisfying. Even after sneaking around undetected I revealed myself at the end just so I could give him the middle finger. I dare say I enjoyed that more then ousting Wulbren.
