@@chukah9484you can oathbreak and be a “bad” Paladin. If you die as one and are really not sorry you can opt into becoming a death knight. Just not in BG3. Yet?

They nerfed the combo recently :( now you can't cast 4 Eldritch blasts on one target

Rogue Druid actually slaps too, using cat form to get into hostile areas and hiding for sneak attacks

Paladin Oath of The Ancients + Bard, School of Swords, literally makes your character so flamboyant and charismatic, you just can win with Words and Dance

I’m multi classing but I have no idea what I’m doing but so far I’ve been enjoying it 😁

Another very effective and straightforward combo is Eldritch Knight Fighter and Barbarian, with the first Feat being "Tavern Brawler", and using Throwing Weapons. Get a high STR Bonus, as this affects Accuracy and Damage when throwing. Eldritch Knight on level 1 gets the "Bind Weapon" ability, which not only makes you immune to stuff like disarm, but any weapon you throw will automatically return to your hand. Barbarian Class gets extra accuracy and damage on throwing weapons during rage. And finally, Tavern Brawler doubles your STR Modifier for accuracy and damage on Throwing Weapons. There are also a host of good Throwing Weapons in the game, as well as several magic items further buffing damage when throwing. Thanks to the high STR the build demands, this also supercharges your Jump ability, making it way easier to take Highground.

I looked up the subclasses and I hope they add celestial warlocks and divine soul sorcerers! With that combination you can have access to three spell trees!

level 1 fighter. the rest of them, wizard. this gives you constitution proficiency as a wizard, allows you to use heavy armor (so you can dump dex) and you get action surge to get an extra spell per turn. also, you are barely behind your allies

One of my favorite Dnd multiclasses (BG3 mileage may vary) is Champion fighter and Gloomstalker Ranger with a greatsword. With the great weapon fighting style, 1s and 2s get rerolled, so the dps is much higher, along side Ranger spells like Zephyr Strike or Entangling Strike and improved critical from champion means rolling 4d6 on a 10% roll plus a d8 or d6 from spells.

Fighter 1 -> Wizard 11 BG3 does not have strength minimums for heavy armor and does not require a free hand for spellcasting. Therefore a 21+ AC wizard with concentration proficiency is possible

Oath Breaker Paladin + Eldritch Knight Fighter is an AMAZING spellsword!

Vengeance Paladin/Light Cleric, makes you a radiant damage machine. Legendary mace/shield, Turn/Destroy undead, aura of protection, guardian spirits and fireball just for kicks. Plus you can get double the spell slots, an extra attack and up to level 4 smite (base paladin caps out at lvl 3).

I have a question: I wanted to make a character focused on dexterity and constitution, after some consideration to my play style I decided to make a (way of the elements) monk and (wildheart) barbarian but witch one should I put as the first class? Not anything special but I'm doing a rouge/Wizard. Keep in mind im running off what I know from ver 3.5. Its the D&D version I used to play. The idea being a rouge is kind of a skilled class and so benefits from a higher intelligence score at first level while wizards use that same score for spells known and bonus spells (which might not be a thing in this version*). Get an average strength score and a high dex. The wizard also has a subclass that lets you reroll a failed check which is very usefull when you flop a lock pick or disarm trap check. 🔪

So far since I’ve been playing at higher difficulty, it’s best to wait til Act 2 to Multiclass because lvls 1-5 (extra attack) it’s better to stay full class then dividing those levels. (Unless you are wanting Thief for bonus action or Fighter for Action Surge because those are before 5 but now you also potentially lose a feat which could help Early Game) When Multiclassing, the first class you pick is the one you want the save proficiency with. Ex. If adding Rouge, pick that first for extra proficiency (or like he suggested in the video if you want CON save proficiency-ideal for Concentrating on spells-go Sorceror first) I do like all of the builds on KZread (full class and multi class) There really is no wrong answer. Min/Maxing isn’t always the most fun. It shows how creative this community is and I love that about this game.

Rouge/fighter makes a good stealth archer in dnd how’s it work out in balders gate I play to buy this after Xmas and wanna build this class 😊

When I have played RPGs with some form of multiclassing in the past, I have always found the best rule to be asking "What is my primary class weak in?". This helps me narrow my options to ones that allow me to fill in that skill/stat weakness. Example: Many fighter types require strength for many of their skills but might be weak in skills like magic, sneaking or the like. So I would combine a fighter with either a Rogue or Ranger type character to open up new options and minimize weakness. My personal best example of this was KOTOR 2. I often started with the Jedi Sentinel for the technical points, given how many challenges require it throughout the first half of the game. And given how much combat picks up in the second half of the game, I would balance out the technical abilities of the Sentinel with the combat focus of a Jedi Battlemaster.

I am going to push multiclassing to its absolute limits if balders gate will allow it to the same extent as 5e 1 level in all 12 classes I am currently unsure if I actually can as nothing I've seen has more than 2 classes, but Imma try it anyway

oh even in custom diffculty you can't multi-class if you have it on explorer difficulty? What's the difference in difficulties in custom mode?

i am new to this style of gameplay and realized i do not want to multiclass anymore so is it possible to take off the multiclass and stay on my main class? im a sorcerer and i am level 6 and i accidentally added warlock level 1 and i wanna take it off and make myself sorcerer level 7 but im unsure how. If i buy the "change my class" from withers will it reset me back to level 1? or can i edit my stuff back and then be level 7?

@@anthonym.2080so I found out that you can for PlayStation you have to press square and be on balance or tactician mode. Same would apply for Xbox but instead of square for you would be x have fun playing boulders Gate 3. I hope you enjoy it

I think they should just disable "overall" level cap and once you leveled to 12 on one proficiency you could add another class so that way you don't miss out on your main class but still can multiclass.

I agree, like understand why you can't go past level 12, but at least let both my classes get to 12. But at the same time I guess I get it bc your whole party gains experience and levels up at the same time

First time playing turn based, except for pokemon. Never seemed too much fun but this feels like a perfect mix of depth. And maybe you can slow down the pace because of the turn based aspect. It keeps it depth. Love the game not overhyped at all

They can be, but you can also break the game with absurd builds. The game also has a "story" mode where combat becomes trivial, so you can just enjoy the world for what it is.

So wish that each class had its own separate levels so my characters could level beyond 12.... Like my class can only level to twelve but my actual character can have a personal level of far beyond that

Whenever you level up, you have to press square I believe. At the bottom you should see the icon of adding another class

5 levels in barb, 2 in fighter, another 5 in paladin i think ive been told smite or something that gives you a 1d6 does not count as a spell so you can use it in a rage

Yeah Divine Smite uses spell slots but doesn't count as a spell so it can be used during rage. However, the other smite spells that you unlock as you level up do still count as casting spells and can't be used while raging

@@adc1222 ahh fair thank you for telling me. but not only that I've learned that being a Zariel Tiefling unlocks a searing smite at level 3 that does 2d6 fire damage so you don't need any levels in paladin

Ut would be great if multiclassing warlock into other caster classes didnt obliterate you ability to use warlock spells, which are going to be most of your spells until level 12...

Just fyi 100g from withers is nothing and you can steal it back off him and even if he catches you stealing it don't make a difference he won't leave you and nothing negative impacts the game. Why? Because the dead do not need gold lol

This is important to remember because the longer you go forgetting to do this, if the gold adds up, it’s harder to steal back because you have to roll a higher sleight of hand roll and sometimes impossible (except for a Nat 20)

@@Quantum_Bluntz No don't worry Astarion becomes the most skilled thief in all the world, he can literally stay out in the open 99% of the time even without invisible if you have the right equips that is. Let yourself get caught with withers he doesn't care and it's funny dialogue. You can always steal it with Astarion even act 3 end game. Your literally the only person in the world that can't steal from withers lol
