Its similar to Divinity 2 which is where these mechanics come from you had these teleportation pyramids you could find and throw them around and teleport from one to another so you could leave one at the grove trader for example and then drop one exactly where you were and teleport back and forth and throw them on high ground and teleport everyone up there. it was so good and had so many uses.

And do you know how they thought of all of these mechanics? Some from player feedback, but a lot of it was from the devs simply playing their own game and thinking "you know what would be cool?" Then adding this stuff in.

A tip I found: if you have prepared spellcasters in your party, you can swap their spells any time you're not in combat by selecting them and pressing the K button. Yeah, very useful to know for all of those utility spells that don't have much use in combat. Just keep your spellbook ready for battle, and switch out a utility spell when you need it. I'm not sure, but I think that spells like speak to animals (spells that last until the next long rest) stay active even after you've removed it from the spellbook.

@@Minoseth I should point out that I'm actually having some issues right now of it not quite working. I think it might only work if you put the supplies in the traveler's chest yourself, and not by using "send to camp". What also works, surprisingly, is putting a camp supplies bag into the travelers chest when there are already supplies in there. The bag will just hoover them up. So what I do now while out and about is occasionally look in de camp supplies bag I carry around and send everything in there to the camp. Then, when I check my travelers chest when I'm in the camp and there are supplies in there, I take the camp supplies bag (that's in the chest) out and put it back in immediately.

When you play BG3, you will constantly be saying "wait, you can do that???" And guess how they came up with most of these ideas? They played their own game and thought "you know what would be cool?" I don't agree when people claim the game has endless possibilities. It has a lot of possibilities, more than most if not all games but not endless. On this expectation in my playthrough I've tried number of things that seemed to make sense in context of the game but they don't work or bug out. - I expected disguises to be better integrated in dialogue but instead it's a very surface implementation where it essentially resets dialogue and sometimes offers different options. Even you companions treat you both differently and in same way with disguise never addressing it. As a result disguise feels like afterthought. - One location has a destructible sentry, another location only let's you disable it through puzzle. No reason given even when I try examining object, it doesn't include description which could address it. As a result, feels inconsistent and I can't try different strategies reliably. - Invisibility, sneaking and crouching doesn't work equally everywhere and not because of lore reasons. In some environments NPCs will immediately notice when their possessions are touched, in others you can take stuff right behind them. This again makes it inconsistent and I can't try different strategies reliably. - You completed quest by a different approach? Now for some reason parts of quest-related-story are broken. This is also inconsistent so I don't know if I will break things next time or discover something interesting. I get that problems from such massive game do arise and I am ok with it. But it's not endless possibilities.

@@animewatcha Speak with dead works well with disguises. It's the alive npcs that react inconsistently. In some areas even with turn-based on, npc will turn around during your turn when doing something you shoudln't after which you should jump out of their line of sight. So there is workaround but it doesn't feel nice.

I noticed a specific interaction between high ground and the returning pike (possible other items) where when thrown from the high ground it has its thrown damage + some sort of fall damage it also does to the enemy and pushes them it also seems to deal the damage over the surface of the weapon so it's possible to hit multiple enemies (and allies) with it if they're lined up. Makes returning pike with ring of flinging pretty strong even into act 2

I just want to shout out to all the major developers out there who hated on BG3! They really helped make this game more popular for all the hate they threw on it. It brought more eyes on a game many would have slept on. They inadvertently raised the expectations by their hate. 😂 Remember everyone, its us who is to expect more and them to deliver on it. No excuses. Larian listened to us throughout EA and we see how much love and passion was brought into the game. A great game is worth waiting for when the developers listen to their community.
