Balanced on two wheels | Lit Motors AEV of the future

Compact yet spacious, safely enclosed, and efficient in every aspect-spend less time and money stuck in traffic, and more time doing things you actually want to do. The Lit Motors AEV is designed to streamline the drive, whether you're commuting to work or going on a weekend joyride.
Our vehicle is an exciting exploration in vehicle architecture, leading a new era of sustainable transportation.
Consider this:
🚘 Transportation accounts for 29% of carbon emissions in the US
👤 75% of people in the US drive alone (50% globally)
⚡️ The typical EV battery produces 18 TONS of CO2 over its lifecycle
The solution? Cut the car in half, make it 6-8x more efficient, cut emissions by simplifying manufacturing and reducing battery size (and make it really, really cool! 😎)
Our AEV is projected to produce only 1.8 tons of CO2 over its lifecycle, which is a whopping 90% reduction in emissions. Be kinder to the planet (13.2 miles / kWh) AND your wallet (only $2.50 per 170 mile charge in California - price may vary per state) 💸💸💸
Invest in Lit Motors and our mission for sustainability: we've launched an equity crowdfunding campaign with the goal of moving into production development. Head to our Wefunder campaign to learn more! ⤵️

FSD combined with C-V2X eliminating accidents and injuries is going to be even more important than all the other safety technologies. C-V2X connected cars technology is a quasi super power sensor, able to see through anything and around corners and that should be combined with FSD to end all accidents and injuries involving pedestrians, bikes, animals... It could be retrofited using cell phones or tags, or devices like the Comma ai open pilot device when adopted. The DOT needs to fast track it ASAP.

For a two wheeled vehicle, a speed of 120 miles per hour is already too fast. For safety reasons, hub motors can be used with a speed of 95 miles per hour and 35 horsepower is sufficient. And the body can be extended by 30 centimeters, making rear passenger more comfortable; Lengthening the vehicle body and using hub motors can free up more space for installing larger batteries, as gyroscopes consume a lot of electricity every moment. (It may be a good choice to simply cancel the internal combustion engine.) The hub motor can also be easily designed to switch between FWD, RWD, and AWD modes, or the computer can automatically allocate front wheel torque to adapt to off-road roads or rainy and snowy weather.

This shouldn't cost more than a normal 4-wheel car with similar or better performance, like some of the other single and two seaters currently on the market.

Nice concept, but what happens to autonomy? Keeping those gyros running + the ai module must require quite a lot of energy, so I guess the autonomy won't be much. Plus the batteries looks quite large so the price migh get crazy high for a two wheeled vehicle. I like the idea, but I'm skeptical that peoples will prefer this over a small car. Will wait and see.

I seen the person turn right and go right.. but the front wheel turned right.. this is not how motorcycles turn. Will the system counter steer? I am guessing so, but based on the video I simply had to ask!

well great idea that you will never bring to mass market. every year we see these great solutions to transportation and you may be able to by one in SouCal but not everyone lives there

I would buy something like this, but it would have to make sense financially. It's not a bike, it's not an experience that you're paying for. It's a car, for 1 person, so the cost should reflect that. If a car costs $20k, then I don't expect to pay more than $5k for this.

Looks lit! but lets face it, very few americans will trade their car for this and for a hefty price of $32k its limited to big city tech bros

How about motorcycle handlebars instead of steering wheel?

Wish there's an option to steer by bike handles. This removes the weather, temperature (in case it has climate control) and safety downsides for those long dreaming of riding a motorbike

Prototypes are easy, production is hard.. all that cnc aluminum looks expensive. Great idea but it’s pretty over engineered and not sure who the average customer is that would choose this over any other 2 wheeled ev out there now in 2024. Saw your prototype years ago in sf, and I remember seeing a cargo bike type thing too thatI thought was impressive. anyway good luck, hope you make it to production
