If you want to save 300k buy a triton. Truth is you will have a bakkie thats not at the workshop the whole time if you buy a triton. Mitsubishi Reliability is tops

I choose Mitsubishi triton over the ford renger because off reliability and durable like Hilux i have triton 2010 13years old end triton 2019💪

I’ll take the 4j all day every day

Should have left them where they stopped so we can see in terms of distance which one got to 100and back with least distance travelled

You should put a 1 ton load on the back of each and then test 0-100 and braking . Wonder how these bakkies will do in Gauteng with elevation ?

Why in your country you dont get the Nissan Navara 2.3 diesel Twin turbo, that engine is very good and more fast than the 2.5 diesel with 1 turbo. Here in Chile we have the Navara twin turbo Euro 6 engine.

Guys, Mitsubishi doesnt build the Xtreme in SA. it goes to a place in Alberton called Mitsitech Performance. He does that, and for the bakkie you have they sent you he did a massive Software performance upgrade thus this bakkie perfomes so well. They also dis the software on mine. I also drive a Pajero, but Mitsubishi is is pulling a fast one on you. I have this info form a good source……lol

The extreme model done by Mitsitech, does not come with a massive software performance upgrade, you can choose to have it remapped. If it was the remapped version, it would match the raptor. It is 133kw and 430nm standard. Remapped is 165kw and 650Nm. Mitsubishi is not pulling anything over anyone’s eyes.

The P-Series you wont get the best 0-100 by putting the hammer down to the ground. You need to control accelartion gradually with your footing you will do allot better.

Top number one is mitsubishi the king of rally championship both car and four wheel drive category ,the oldest japanese manufacturer

You guys could have had 1 V6 between the Amarok and the Ranger just for comparison. Great content by the way.

Its like there is a conspiracy to undermine ford. Why didnt you have the V6 atleast, back when amarok had a V6 you always compared that v6 against less powerful bakkies.

They are all closely matched for stats and pricing. V6 just priced out of the lot. And let's face it, that Golf-R drag racing Raptor has no competition here, nothing against Ford.

Why not the Gr Hilux?? Its got beter brakes, more power and cheaper than the Legend.

The superboss is(was) much faster than a VR6.

Amarok used to be the best. Now that Ford is making it, it's no longer, in this test at least

I don't think your "app" is the most accurate way to test this. There is much more accurate instruments out there you should use. A smartphone's GPS is not sensitive enough to get accurate measurements.

I think they were using such an instrument. You'll hear them mention "dragy" which is a gps meter that gives you live stats on your phone rather than having to download the data later on the computer

Actually slightly below average! VW might have to rethink her marriage to Ford,i thought it was mainly for the Ford suspension comfort which is commendable, but now the stuff she use to shine in is below average,ok v-6 engines abound now,but the vw's deceleration performance has no excuse to have dropped below average!!

The Hilux could’ve definitely ran quicker. It had the most wheelspin at the line

The Rs Hilux basicly just means it has a roller shutter on the back Which weighs 150kg. Take that away and use a std Hilux without the 150kg penalty in weight. And the Hilux would win easily over these new generation bakkies, even if it is now 7 years old.

I don't get it. Why would you take every manufacturers flagship bakkie but not the Ranger? I mean you did NOT use the best ranger on the market which would be the Raptor? I know it is a league of its own but show the country how far behind all the other brands are.

That would be like comparing the BMW M3 to lexus Is350 vs Audi A4 2.0T vs Merc C350 etc. The Raptor is a performance bakkie, the others are just top of the range bakkies, not even in the same price range.
