As a note for anyone else having the same issue where you're unable to select 'Non-Colour' for colour space. You'll need to make sure you save your normal map image by selecting Image, save as in the UV editor. Then the option will not be grayed out. Hope that helps :)

Thank you, very useful.
Seus vídeos são perfeitos! Mesmo em inglês eu entendo tudo.
I have watched many tutorials in order to understand what the baking is really for in blender. however none of them really helped me out to get even a simple grasp of what that is but thanks to your tutorial, I finally got it ! thank you and keep it going

You only need to bake textures if you’re going to export the model to other software.. like substance or unreal, ect..

Normal maps do help a lot in blender tho by faking polys.. you can have a low poly object look just like the high detail high poly version Look into the addon “simple bake” its a life saver
Harika çalışma teşekkürler ❤️👍
thank you for tutorial.
Thanks. Very god tutorial
Thank you!
Great video
Çok teşekkür ederim .
this video was extremely helpfull. i watched another tutorial that used a harder method to follow
hey friends i just subcribe you cause you just show us the detil :') its mean a lot for me, imma called you a mentor
Thanks
Great tutorial. One remark though: don't forget to save your normal map or it will be lost.
you are best
I hope I could do same as you did
execellent
thx

Hi, thx for tutorial! really awesome, it save my life haha... A question: I use Mix Node to mix up 2 or 3 Material, for example Snow on Rock. In this case I need to bake Difuss, Normal and Roughness for each Material individually, right? And I also use the Displacement for Material, (not Modifier), it also follow the same workflow?

Thank u for nice comment. Yes u need to bake each maps individiually. For baking displacement map, this video can help you. kzread.info/dash/bejne/emll3MprZa6td7w.html
What will happen to multires?? Should we apply it before baking??
Why is it that when I use a normal map node. The texture becomes black like a shadow
Thanks for your tutorial, very useful information. Question: and how to make the image depressed, not convex // sorry, I just started learning blender

I've seen tutorials photoshop can actually generate normal/bump map. Is it possible to generate maps and link it as texture normal/bump map? I don't have a pc right now. But I will try once I get back home.

Yes it is possible to generate normal and bumps maps in photoshop.U can use these texture maps in blender also.
Exelente🙏🙌 but if i want to create a STL file for print en 3D it will be since the first part? Sorry for my english ?

uh i cant find the render engine..
High poly modeldeki detayları low poly modele aktarırken normal map i bake ediyoruz bildiğim kadarıyla çünkü bake edilebilecek detayların low poly olana geçirilmesi gerekiyor. Normal map i bake ettikten sonra normal map image'i kaydettim.

Merhaba. Tabii ki Diffuse map'i oluşturman lazım öncelikle. Aksi halde Blender olmayan birşeyi Bake etmez. İstersen izleyebilirsin. kzread.info/dash/bejne/rHqA2rmLltaacc4.html

So i can after this delete the the multiresolution and the texture of the dragon will remain the same, this is the purpose of normal map?
@GraphicsMK

Yes. But normal maps are fake details on the models. When the model interact with the light, we can see the details on the model.
why does my image texture sculpt it in a very very low res .I can litarally see the polygons.your look so smooth

@@GraphicsMK i didt it more than u like 8 times. I think the problem stands at those image textures black and white. Yours is 750x750 but mine is 500x500 its not small but still might be another problem i guess
following all your steps, but when baking, it gives a multiresolution error 👇🏻 "multires data baking requires multi-resolution object" I can't fix this, no matter how much I go to multi-resolution, and subvide, when I go back to bake it gives me the same error again. Can you tell me what the problem is? thanks

Normal maps do come in handy in blender tho by faking polys. Look into the add on “simplebale”. Make a copy of your object, decimate it to low poly but keep it all in quads. Over lay the 2 together at the work original, then bake to target. Simple bake makes the process WAY easier

If yours isn't baking then make sure that you didn't forget to uv unwrap it first like I did lmao
