Great tutorial. But i noticed that if you have multiple valves next to each other .. the all move together but with different strength .( they are influenced by each other ) . How can you fix that ? I know for 100 % sure that each value have there own controller cube and constraints ..

Oh i know what i did wrong.. :-) I connected everything as one mesh . If you use single camshaft for every valve / cylinder it works .. :-)

So I have a problem with all hair in blender that use the particles system. It makes it impossible to pose my rig with the hair as the lag becomes unbearable/unworkable with the hair attached. I have to delete the entire empty hair hairstyle and all the viewport fps come back that's with simplify and additional subdivs set to 0. I have got a good PC 4080ti 64GB ram etc.. So I'm unsure if you have any recommendations for improving the performance of blender when it comes to the hair. I haven't experienced lag like it anywhere else when using blender.

Thanks for the video. What's really hard with fluid sims in blender is that when you apply them to your own project, tweaking the settings is laborious. This is because when you start adding finer meshes and more particles its painfully slow to bake and see the effects the different settings have. Real time use of blender as an editor for fluid sims to see the effects is nigh on impossible. I'm trying to get a fluid to drain away and then as it does so cling to the object honeycomb mesh as it does so. Any ideas on how I can achieve this. Should I set up the fluid sim for the honeycomb and then as the fluid in the model drops below the honeycomb the fluid around the honeycomb is revealed.

Version 4.2 is still buggy for me. Blender stops working when switching to eevee. No program closure report. Updating the drivers didn't help. Wrote to technical support. In general, I noticed that there are many similar reports in tasks. There are also many other bugs associated with the new engine. Hope they fix it soon.

I had problems in playing animatioins as shown at 5:31. If you also have the same problem, switch from Hold to Nothing in the Extrapolation parameter you find in the Strip tab (if you don't see the tab, press N with the mouse in the NonLinear editor)

Thanks for you great tutorial. But I v a question , I ll create a SSS texture (black and white mask) in substance painter (to add where there is or not sss) and before we plug it on subsurface but since 4.0 there is no plug input for subsurface. I ll presume I must plug it on "Weight input " ,but I ll would like to be sure. Thanks by advance for your help. Best regards

as a beginner in Blender, I want to learn good workflows to model things, (my goal is product modeling) should I forget kee ptrying with subD modeling? I am really stucked on taht concerning using supporting loops and altering the mesh really uneven. I dont know which path follow now. This GeoNodes way looks great but I don't know if jumping into it I would be skipping tecniques that I should master first. Thanks for the grat video. Cheers.

Both SubD modeling and Geometry Nodes have their strengths, and mastering both can significantly enhance your modeling capabilities in Blender. Start with the basics of SubD modeling to build a solid foundation, and then gradually explore Geometry Nodes to expand your skill set. Remember, learning 3D modeling is a journey, so don’t rush it and enjoy the process of improving your skills over time.

Hey, it's been a while since this was made, but this is one of my favorite ways to model a spring, was wondering if it was possible to rig this in the opposite manner where the spring compresses from the top?
@GraphicsMK7 күн бұрын
Yes I think it is possible. Just put the pivot point at bottom of the spring and change the spring direction from the driver.

Hi, I have a problem with UV mapping when dividing and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have a glass cube and I want it to crack... everything is going ok until I deal with the material. After splitting, the glass reflects poorly, or rather the environmental map reflects incorrectly... it creates an unnatural refraction of light. We haven't figured out how to do UV mapping correctly and I've also tried resetting Normals... I don't know what's wrong...
