Day 11 of our 3 week van life road trip adventure through the stunning Baja California! Join us as we travel south down the Baja Peninsula on an exciting adventure from the northernmost tip of this breathtaking Mexican peninsula to its southernmost end.
In this travel vlog, we finally get to go fishing on the Sea of Cortez with our family. Robin and her brother have been waiting for the wind to die down so we can go out on the Gulf of Mexico in search of Dorado, swordfish, and Sailfish.
We meet up with family in Los Barriles for a fishing trip. Unfortunately, the weater had other plans so while we waited for the Wind to go away we showed them around some new areas in Baja California Sur. Thankfully the day finally came when we could get out on the water with the charter fishing boat Marlintini. Our captain Cecil and our deckhand Jorge were amazing. We caught 7 fish. Five Dorado, one Bonita, and One Sailfish.
We kept the largest Dorado and gave the rest to our boat crew, who were very appreciative. Upon arriving back to shore the Fishich Charter had a guy waiting to filet the fish for us as we then took some of the fish to the restaurant at the resort for them to cook for us for dinner.
This ultimate fishing excursion was and amazing adventure and a must-watch expedition. If you enjoy fishing or are planning a fishing trip in Baja California Mexico you must watch this video.

We took this trip in November-December 2023 to meet up with family for a sports fishing trip north of Cabo in Los Barriles, stopping at some of our favorite spots along the way.
We left San Diego on November 25, 2023, and crossed the border in Tijuana before heading south stopping in Guerrero Negro, Mulege, Loreto, La Paz, Los Barriles, Cabo Pulmo, Cabo San Lucas, and Todos Santos during our 3 week adventure.
