    Hi Dave Chives Running the motor on 12v I have had no problems. But what I have done is adjust the hand set settings so as to only run 60% power to the motors when on full throttle.

    A couple more questions if you don't mind as I'll be starting my build next week. Did you work out what the 2 bits of plastic were for or if they were needed? Were the LEDs ok running with higher voltage batteries, I assume the brain takes care of the led voltage and it's not a issue? Have you had any interference with the boat or raymarine as I see no noise suppression on either motor or cables? Thanks again.

    Dave LEDs work fine on higher voltage just are brighter. You can set the values on your hand set to reduce to voltage to the motors and LEDs if you want. No problem with interference with eco sounder. Square plastic bits are for mounting hopper servo. Hope it goes well for you. 👍

    Hi, Yes I found the kit to be ok for my build. I also built another using the same kit, but fitting Tolsen 740 fish finder and worked really well together. It defiantly a good shell to start from. You can build to your own specifications hope you found it if use. Thanks for watching.👍

    Hi. I'm just looking into getting a bait boat or building one myself. So my question is. Would you still build the same boat or change something's. ( Eg jets and not props or maybe double hopper version) Or would you buy a made one . ND tackle or Cult tackle as examples. As prices are coming down. Thanks

    Matthew Elliott Hi I would still build the same boat I think it’s a good boat there is plenty of room in side the boat so you can put a lot of different add ons if you want. Carp madness do do a different boat hull which I think could be good very much like an rt4 shape. My advice to you is to look at a Tolson eco the are a very simple fit and they do lots of different models. I would try to put in the best eco you can afford.

    @@carping247 sorry for all the questions. What's the running time on the lithium batteries and have you got to change anything to run these (if you didn't have the Raymarine)

  • @carping247

    @carping247

    Gareth Kendell Hi the motor that came with the kit can run on 12 volt. What happens is the higher the voltage the faster the motor will spin as you increase the throttle the voltage increases to the motors. I used the hand set adjustment to set the parameters , so when full ahead only 60% voltage to the motor. This means I could run 12 volt battery to be able to run the ray marine eco. If you didn’t use a 12v eco you could use lower voltage battery. By doing this I am just protect the motor life. Battery run time is good I get about 30 runs out and back of 100 yards. 👍

    richard webber You won’t be disappointed it’s a great unit. Just make sure your all connected on WiFi before you run the boat out. I leave the boat in the margin and make sure the sounder screen is scrolling throw before driving away just to make sure the connection is locked in.
