This is a great gun if you doing heavy-duty building around the house. For more lightweight building you can also check out my review on their 18 gauge Brad nailer.

We just got this after watching this Bailey Built review. We really like it. I'm making some shelving and re-doing some trim work. Definitely works well.

I ordered a Ridgid framing nailer on line waiting to pick up at the depot, comes with two free tools for $349. I chose the 7 1/4" circular saw and jigsaw. Now it's like every tool manufacturer has a framing nailer. Ryobi is set to come out with one soon.

What's the difference in an "angled" nail gun from a normal nail gun? What's the advantages of an angled nail gun? Thanks

The angled gun carried larger nails. The angled gun is built for framing 2x4s and 2x6s. The brad nailer is meant for smaller builds and trim work.

Thanks for watching! Yes, when loading the nail I made sure to follow the direction arrows. They loaded easily and they shot pretty well for me during my test.

Yes, I think so. As long as you already have that V20 battery system it is a good deal.

@bozobutte920 If you still haven't purchased one, now is the time. Lowe's has a really great deal on Craftsman electric tools. The nailer isn't on sale, but you're going to need a battery and charger if you get one. If you buy the 2AH, 4AH, and charger combo (about $95), you get a free tool. Got a pretty decent circular saw ($80 value) for free. I think there's 5 or 6 different tools to choose from.

You MUST BUY a HIGH OUTPUT BATTERY! A regular craftsman battery wont work! Also it only loads 1, just 1 nail strip, not 2 at a time.

@@BaileyBuilt son bought the Craftsman 21° frame nailer over the weekend...craftsman battery Lowes set him up with barely powered it ...heard motor barely whining but not nail. Took it back for high output lithium ion battery & charger (additional purchase!)...worked as intended after that. But for another $100+ on top of the nailer price. Might as well step up to a Milwaukee nailer. Time to return it. AND...Craftsman framing nails only sold at Lowes as a MIXED 2 3/8 & 3 inch set. Has only half the nails needed and other 1/2 wasted cost for the project! AND....only fits 1 rack of nails...not 2 full sets.
