If you have a failure to fire don't open it so quickly give it some time as a hang fire could cause you some damage.

Yes your right, when I had the camera on the target and I was about to fire I did gave it some time before opening it, when the camera was turn I did open it to quickly. The shop found out that the pin didn't move forward as the trigger was pulled.

Dont hold the lever when you close it... Just slam it shut... Or just push the lever down properly... There's a built-in safety that prevents the gun from firing if not properly closed 😉

Скобу нужно пальцем большим вниз подавливать,чтобы осечек не было. Если не поможет можно немного крюк запирания подшлифовать. Осечки из за того,что оно полностью не запирается. Это даже не брак а классический баг)

Had the exact same problem with mine! Turned out the problem was with the firing pin. Just didn't go far enough forwards to strike the primer. Poor manufacturing and quality control.

Sorry you had trouble with your rifle. I have the same model in 308 Win. and it works great ! I also have a 12 ga. and a 410 shotgun with the same action and they work fine also. I also bought a Baikal MP 94 that is a O/U combination gun with a 12 ga. barrel on top and a 30-06 barrel below with double triggers , again no problems ?

Cheap military ammo have machine gun primers... very hard. Stike it again & it will fire. Was there not a dent in the primer? Put proper hunting rounds in it.

nurlan kulcha -> absolutely right. When you push the lever forward, the rifle fires all day long. These are great rifles. Reliable at all weather conditions, accurate and well priced. Remember, when russians make a gun you can be certain, that they will function.

If the single shot open and close to fast they do make some noise, I just choose that gun because its light and I walk for hours and hours in the bush so wanted something light. My job have dry up due to covid so shopping on a budget.

My guess is some bad ammo. I just had that happen for the first time. I thought it was the gun, tried ammo in another rifle, same problem. Didn't see you look for light strikes on the primer, but in the Taiwan made ammo I had the primers were set too deep. Frustrating to say the least, but not the gun. That was a lovely Baikal, too bad you didn't test the ammo as it was probably a keeper. Russians make good stuff.
