If your deformity is not too severe and there is a slight depression, which we call saddle nose or Supertip depression, then the ENT doctor takes some tissue while doing septoplasty (which means straightening the nasal bone). Filling that tissue where there is stagnation in the bone or which is slightly depressed.
There is another technique in which the cartilage of the side (which is a soft bone) is stitched to each other with the middle bone, which is also called the double-breasting technique. But if your deformity is very severe, then the third place can be your XXX crust. This is your pelvis bone; This is a part of the pelvic bone. You can feel this bone under your stomach. Ent doctors also use this bone because from here you can use an excellent quantity and quality of bone. It is a bone, not cartilage, but it gives you firm and good bone strength. We can re-sculpt it with a drill. There is only a scar on the donor side, sometimes a little pain remains, but there is no major complication.
The fourth is rib cartilage. We take rib cartilage from the lower rib. The mark that is found in girls is taken just below the breast and that mark is usually not visible. This incision is also given in many breast augmentation procedures when in breast lifting operations. Plastic surgeons and breast surgeons are aware of it and it can hide scars. But unfortunately, this mark is seen in men. But this rib cartilage is very good because this cartilage is a little flexible and can be modified easily, we can also do it in L shape. It is available in a very good quantity and is a very useful item.
If we talk about the damage, there can be a case of air leaking from the lungs many times on the donor side, but such cases are almost negligible in the hands of experts.
