Bahia Palace & Marrakech Medina Adventure: Majesty + Mayhem

THIS VIDEO WAS FILMED IN NOVEMBER 2022. I was back home in the UK when the earthquake hit Morocco - Andy and I are safe and sound and our thoughts are with those who have been affected by it.
Welcome to Marrakech - a city of contrasts! In this video we explore the Bahia Palace, indulge in a delightful lunch at Mazel, and explore parts of the bustling Medina and Jemaa el-Fnaa.
Our morning begins with a visit to the serene Bahia Palace, an architectural masterpiece that showcases the grandeur and elegance of Moroccan design. As we wander through the tranquil, yet packed with tourist courtyards, ornate gardens, and intricately decorated rooms, you'll see the palace's rich history and breath taking craftsmanship.
After working up an appetite, we head to Mazel, and as the afternoon unfolds, we venture into the heart of Marrakech's Medina, a labyrinth of narrow streets and bustling markets.
Our journey culminates in Jemaa el-Fnaa, the famous central square of Marrakech. As we step into this lively hub, we are greeted by a throng of juice sellers, all vying for our custom.

Rotten luck that after a very patient five year wait they were still restoring the palace 😂. Oh well! Leave it another five years and try again! Nice commentary regarding the tour not being specific to the place itself and instead being very general. Always good to hear about the history if you can. That shot of the motorcyclist coming through the building site was epic - I’ve got a feeling nothing is going to stop that guy. 😮. Loved the coin toss to decide which stall to visit, based on your comments regarding the juice you picked the right one. 👍

I suggest that you go to the Arab city of love, where two of the most famous Arab love stories became famous and which were immortalized in the poems of poets who flirted with their beloved ones in a large poetry collection. The same city is rich in archaeological treasures and is called the Bride of the Mountains due to the beauty of its mountains. It is called the Land of Civilization due to the succession of several Arab civilizations over this city, as well as the City of Wonders due to the mountain formations that characterize it.
