Bahamas - Waves | Buzzsession
Музыка
Bahamas gave us quite the show on the rooftop of our home office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with this recording of “Waves.” Buzzsessions are performance music videos produced by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we capture footage of our favorite bands as they record alternate studio quality versions of their songs.
We made lunch and shared some laughs then got to business filming with one of our very favorite bands, Bahamas. Afie Jurvanen and his bandmates wowed everyone there, including our neighbors, with mellow renditions of “Waves” and “Stronger Than That.”
Produced by Alex Litke
Executive produced by Jon Lurie, Eric Weiner
Filmed by Minu Park, Liz Cara, Alex Litke, Dylan Endyke
Edited by Travis Rainey
Engineered and mixed by Brian Trahan

just one guy. bahamas is his stage name. like "lil wayne"
What a work of art. Nothing more refreshing than a natural, pure band, who is not obsessed by the media spot light.

to be fair, in todays society if you wanna play music for a living you need some spotlight. capitalism has its flaws for sure
shocking this isn't top 5 on there spotify page. Just a perfect harmony with a old school melody. love this to the end.

Still look for this song year after year. Perfect mix of happiness & melancholy
Oh Afie... 2 years when my husband and I discovered you and we love you more than ever... always making my day with your music!!💖💖💖
And I held the breath inside my lungs for days And I saw myself as one of many waves And when I knew I'd become the ocean's slave I just stayed And we carried far with all the waters past Of the waves I was not first I was not last And if we saw a boat afloat we took the mast So fast [Chorus] There's a part of it that I'll miss At the heart of it, your cold kiss From the start of it, I know this Always a part of it And before too long the waves grew out of hand And they worked to keep the sea at their command And the only thing they feared it seemed the sand And dry land [Chorus] There's a part of it that I'll miss At the heart of it, your cold kiss From the start of it, I know this Always a part of it From the water there was born a bright blue roar As it rolled and formed and calmed the ocean's floor And it finally rose and broke upon the shore No more [Chorus] There's a part of it that I'll miss At the heart of it, your cold kiss From the start of it, I know this Always a part of it There's a part of it that I'll miss At the heart of it, your cold kiss From the start of it, I know this Always a part of it Always a part of it Always a part of it
Ohhh..what a nice song. I like everyone's play. I'm feeling wonderful and decide to go outside now...with this song. Thanks.

Sebastian Barbosa it's just, "dry land" not and dry land. Not trying to be a lameo. Just correcting what's right! :) and it's a cool lyric how he says it.

This song needs to be released as a single! The album version doesn't even have its own video on youtube. :| My favorite on the album amongst all the other great songs like stronger than that (second favorite), all the time and little record girl.
This song is so good, I like this live version a lot! 😘😘
Just wonderful :) The band has very many aspects to lead off from and i believe that they tied 'em together quite melodically. Just great
This is absolutely phenomenal , the sound I been looking for to mellow out with ,calm the demons :)
So glad I clicked on this. Loved the lyrics and sound. Def gonna check them out

Terrific. Every single player "in the zone". What happened to the other backing vocalist ? - shame if she's left band - combined so well with the other girl featured here. Come to the UK please !!

HI Bahama, Wow, umm I'll just give it a shot. Yo I love this song you all created Ij really find some inner level of Love when I hear it. I am looking for the chords for the acoustic guitar part and I am missing a few pieces but am so close! I would so love the chord tabs you are playing in this on acoustic. Such a beautiful song!

Zanzabar on the 16th of Jan. I know where I will be that night.
Can someone please tell me the mics they are using? If so, was this actually recorded outside. I'm also wondering if each person was recorded separately or if the mic can pick up all of the voices/instruments.
