Bagru Block Print Process | Dabu Printing | Bagru Wooden Prints
Bagru block print process is an intricate process where every step is done with expertise. Bagru
Dabu print means resist print. Wherever the paste is applied, it stops the color to get onto the fabric.
That helps in preparing the beautiful Bagru block print. These fabrics go through an all-natural process and they are very environment friendly. You must watch each step to understand what kind of efforts the artisan puts in.

    This video is also very informative. I would say due to speaking of only local language, these art forms are not popular. Without middle man to encourage these artisans, they have to learn to speak some English. They don't know to speak more than yes / no. I tried talking to Mr. chandra , regarding kalamkari sarees and he sent 15 pictures didn't know much of english. I don't know telugu. In order for your efforts work, they have to come out of their nutshell.

  • @arpitharai

    @arpitharai

    3 жыл бұрын

    I agree with you about the language. That is one of the reasons they agree with middlemen. We as the consumers need to help them out with their business/ language and help ourselves from the middlemen. Mr.Chandra can not speak English but his daughter manages to talk in English. These families live in small towns where there is no much exposure to different languages. When it comes to the Chhipa family, Dinesh is a fashion designer. He can very well converse in English. I am really happy that you are making efforts to understand the craft through my videos and contacting the artisan. That means a lot to me 🤗
