Badminton Stringing - Adidas Power Hybrid on Victor Superwaves 35 @ 23/25.3lbs
Testing out the pre-release Adidas Power Hybrid string. Mains 0.72mm, cross 0.69mm.
Surface of the string is kinda slippery and i had to adjust my gripper when the cross slipped on it.

SW35 is magnificent
The technique to use the awl is to push it in at an angle. The tip of the awl is rounded so it is not easy to damage the string.
i only pull the 2nd cross. i cut it off after i tension it so the loose end don't get in my way when i weave.
it means shorter string going to the knot and thus less tension loss.
I try to get the knot away from the sweetspot strings.
Is it good to push that pointy tool trough the gromet so you can put the string in ?? How you not damage the string with that tool??
Been stringing over 20 years and I've never started the crosses from the throat up to the frame. Even spoke to Victor Reps and they don't recommend it. However, I do use this technique on tennis racquets. Frames are alot stronger though for one piece 2 knot pattern.

That's very strange as one of the official Victor pattern calls for bottom up stringing. Yonex official pattern also do it the same way.
Aha...ok... can you tell me what angle should push the awl ? I use the awl which have a hook and I pull the string up or down so the next one can come in but sometimes it is very hard to do that . This technic that you use it is much easyer.
Hi. I just bought this string yesterday. I want to ask about tensions above the video Main string (white) 23 lbs ? Cross string (green) 25.3 lbs? Or they both string just choose one 23 or 25.3 lbs?
Just curious why you skip the one line at the top of the racquet then circle back? Does this prevent the load on the racquet or is it because it makes it easier to tie the last knot?
Do you have a brochure or any document showing how to do it?
Why is it that you always cut off the string on your 2nd cross?
Why not just string all the way to top and tie off in adjacent grommet when you finish the last line?
Ah, understood. Interesting techniques.
