In 1993 Tiny Tim performed in Decatur, Illinois, at the now defunct Decatur Celebration. He started with the traditional Tiptoes Through the Tulips but was having some difficulties.. He explained that he was having trouble singing in his traditional high falsetto confessedly because of age. He then performed a rendition of a number of railroad songs in his rich baritone natural voice. It was wonderful, magical, and unforgettable. When he was done, he stayed at the stage and met every child and parent who wanted to see him. It was a beautiful and moving time to see Tiny Tim, Herbert Khaury, giving his time and outpouring of love to these children. I will never forget this. He died in 1996. Never ever will I forget Tiny Tim spending time with those children.

I wish my grandson could experience the same life we had back in the early 70's. That rascal has to navigate a very crazy world that provides limited value, much sorrow and a lot of confusion. @user-nu3du9ty5s

I grew up in the 1970s, listening to an enormous amount of The Beatles and Badfinger, and while McCartney was indeed all over this band, musically, that was a bit of a blessing and a curse (IMHO). In other words, Peter Ham (God rest his soul) was so heavily influenced by The Beatles, that sadly, it would not allow him to truly create his own, original, unique, innovative sound. When you listen to this, or "Day After Day," it almost sounds/seems like Peter was subconsciously trying to sound like McCartney. It also didn't help matters very much that The Beatles' own engineer and manager produced Badfinger, and even recorded some of their works at Abbey Road Studios. This band will go down in the history books as one of the saddest stories to come out of the past 60+ years of rock music. They deserved so much better, even if they weren't the most original or unique-sounding band.

this always make me think of Walt (Breaking Bad) dead....on the floor ...after watching him for years.....never mind that I used to listen to this picking berries in the 60's....."It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" has been covered by Them, Baez and the Byrds. Them's About Them were a Northern Irish rock band formed in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in April 1964, most prominently known for their 1964 garage rock standard "Gloria" and launching Van Morrison's musical career. The original five-member band consisted of Morrison, Alan Henderson, Ronnie Milling, Billy Harrison, and Eric Wrixon. Wikipedia)( version, released in 1966, influenced garage bands during the mid-'60s, and Beck later sampled it for his 1996 single "Jack-Ass". The Byrds recorded the song twice in 1965

I often wonder what it was like to be one of these iconic musicians who had a significant impact on the hearts and minds of so many people. I'm not talking about "whats it like to be famous", I'm talking about legacy, the effects one's music had on an entire generation and beyond. Yeah I know these guys arent alive anymore but there are countless others that wake up with that knowledge every day. I suspect it dont matter after awhile but it must be quite the unique feeling knowing your music will go on being revered after you die.

doesn't need to be extended. the original version is to the point and gives the song a finale that hits home harder than hearing the same verses over again
