*Dark Jazz, not "experimental" because there is no presence of non-jazz instruments or techniques. BADBADNOTGOOD follows traditional jazz standards, if anything their compositions are new but they are not EXPERIMENTAL.

@@triskut i would say anything new is experimental. you would have to prove to me there is a framework that considers something, "experimental" for me to agree that anything outside of that framework is not experimental. The basslines carry alot of funk, and I think any genre bending can be considered experimental, while I agree its no Sun Ra it also definitely deviates from your traditional jazz group, especially by today's standards.

Their presence with such few instruments is something to strive for, the world is a better place with this band

The bass is mixed so well! Stunning visuals and sounds. IV is definitely ground brealing for BBNG in terms of experimentation, musicians, sounds and feel.

I feel this band is bass driven, like Elephant Gym... but BBNG is smoother with less of the instrument athletics that can overwhelm the songs.

One of the most under rated band of the modern age...

In your eyes is so beautiful I had to learn the bass parts... took me 2 months and it is still not perfect! I can't believe that these guys are composing this incredible music at such a young age...

dcrosner15 Sorry to be that guy but, in some ways they already have. They've played quite a few big festivals n collaborate with hip hop artists to make beats for them. They did a whole album with Ghostface killah, of wu-tang fame.

Well, I mean the current industry. Wu - Tang made some amazing records and the group had originality. Now, pretty much everything is garbage: Justin Bieber Taylor Swift Drake etc.

I can't get over the performance on "IV". It's just too good and I love the groove they have going on. Music that makes you feel alive

I am in LOVE with Ms. Charlotte Day Wilson and her voice. What an incredible performance. This might be the first band I've ever shown my mom that she's ended up really really enjoying.
