There's just something so romantic about the mechanical noises that come from a 12 valve or 7.3. Had the chance to pick up a clean, yet high mileage 7.3 Excursion for my daily a few months back. Went on the test drive and couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Eventually went a completely different route, but you can bet I'll own another one day b/c they're just so much fun to drive.

Inline all the way! One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone calls compounds twins.

@@rachelwolfe5915 true twins are equally sized turbos, one for the left manifold and one for the right manifold. Cummins are i6 so they can’t have a true twin setup regardless. Compounds are inline with each other using the smaller turbo to feed the larger turbo

Definitely going with the Cummins. Can't beat the "under the curve" torque of the in line six.

I'm definitely a cummins guy but I love the looks of Ford trucks. That's why my dream diesel is a Fummins. Wether it's a OBS Fummins, 11-16 Fummins, or even a 2017+ Fummins

Jack, you should peel off the black vinyl on the door pillar. It body paint color underneath. IMO much cleaner look than matte vinyl

They had power in the rear. Either that truck never had power up front and was converted or maybe the old idis only had it up front. But the real 7.3s 95-97 had front and rear

Personally I’m a in-line 6 guy but the ford build is flawless👌🏼

That is probably the best looking color on that obs there was a local cclb similar color and Cummins swap a buddy of mine. Nowhere near as cool as that though
