Bad: The Album

Corey Feldman's Angelic 2 The Core is one of the most infamous albums ever. It is made famous by TheNeedleDrop in 2016 due to its pure absurdity and lack of taste. I listened not once, but twice to this entire album. It was not easy.

I thought I was the only one who felt like this that entire album, it feels like it’s trying to be so many things at the same time that it just spirals down into an unsalvageable wreckage. Not to mention Corey’s grating voice while he’s singing which feels like it would have fit in literally ANY other kind of song that didn’t have electronic motifs.

It’s not just bad music, Corey Feldman obviously doesn‘t understand the ABCs of how music is put together, which is why you always have things clashing in different keys.

This! It reminds me of The Room, where the megalomaniacs behind them absolutely NO respect for what they've unleashed on the world, but at the same time they DO say some very important things about the mediums they exist in. It's as if by failing so horribly at being music/a film they've failed *so* horribly that the mistakes won't have to be repeated by as many other people new to the medium

There were some other people involved for sure. We know for certain that a producer who worked to "I Didn't Mean to Haunt You" by Quadeca also worked to the Snoop Dogg song. That album was literally done in the same studio where that song was made. This is not a meme, Quadeca said that to Fantano in an interview.

I think one of the aspects of this album that really contributes to its unique badness is that it sounds about 20 years too late. There is such a distinct late 90s-early 00s vibe to this that indicates to me that that was when Corey really stopped paying attention to pop music even though it seems like he wanted this to be a really contemporary pop album that the kids would like.

Ascension Millennium is no worse that some of the euro dance anthems of the 90s, not a floor filler but it’s inoffensive, has a hook. Past that, it’s all horrific. I’m guessing the cover art metaphor is that those two angels are pushing Corey back in to hell.
