"I love me some Lululemon." LOL. Spoken like a true married man caught saying something disagreeable to the missus. Man I miss Kevin and Megan on Essential Tennis. Hope they're doing well in whatever it is that is the next phase of their career. Not to disrespect Mark and Matt, but the Garlingtons bring a much different perspective. You guys should bring them back for a future Shankcast!

The percentage of signup type group drills that provide real coaching advice is quite small in my club and public court experience. They are mostly "let's spend an hour and a half grooving you guys' bad habits".

13:50. This is why the majority of recreational tennis players who have taken lessons still serve with forehand grips. The prevalence of players volleying with western grips is nuts. Makes me want to pull my hair out just thinking about it. Tennis is the only sport where the majority of lessons are glorified baby sitting sessions.

It’s funny how Ian always bad mouths high level players like “I played in college yada yada yada.” IMO if you can’t show me how to hit the ball, you can’t coach me how to hit the ball.
