Late 60’s early. 70’s Counter Culture rejected hard all music like this it was of the war loving square parents, of course by this point it was the soft version with most parents. But that the tragedy all the great new music forms buried the old as out of touch square. Of course the new music stars did not think that they went to learn from the greats of BigBand Jazz and so on, it was just the fans rejecting it. Born 1962 lived through it as a kid.
